Fun Course - Great Value - Challenging
Coyote Trails was a fun little course. We were greeted by the friendly staff and were able to get right out to play. The course (tee boxes, fairways, greens) was in great shape, actually better than a nearby resort course in Sedona! The holes were fairly tight so accuracy was the most important part of play. Please bring extra golf balls for your round! There were some interesting elevation changes and the views of the area were great. Overall, a great experience, especially considering the very reasonable greens fee.
Wonderful Greens
I had read a review from some complainer about mud and astro turf for a tee box but came here anyhow to judge for myself. I've played at some of the best courses in Atlanta as well as in The Villages in Central Florida and I find this course to be as well maintained as any I've ever played. Yes, the fairways are somewhat narrow, but the course is a bit forgiving if your ball wanders off. There has been reseeding of the tee boxes and 'that is why the whiner complained about the one with turf, but all of the others have mature grass on them. As for mud, one approach to one hole where the grass is still growing the is a little moisture on the ground where when your ball approaches the green it may roll through a little wet dirt that gets on your ball that the complainer called mud. The greens are fast, but I suggest you do a little putting practice on a great putting green they have there that is the same as the greens on the course. Staff is friendly and very helpful. Suggest you bring a few extra balls as I'm reminding you, the fairways are a bit of a challenge but with the course conditions and views you can't go wrong by playing this nine hole twice for your 18 holes and a great experience as there are many 3 pars and only one 5 par.
Shortened course
Course could have been lengthened without changing the challenge much Mud on golf ball on every fairway hit
Coyote Trails
The tee boxes and fairways were all under construction and replanted. Mostly mud. Horrible conditions and the last straw was a yard square piece of Astro turf for No 9 tee box. What a joke. Would not recommend to anyone, even an enemy. Worst golf experience ever.
Golf course was very tight and challenging , if you are an average golfer bring plenty of balls
Great layout and challenge for any level of golfer
Greens are immaculate (as always) … best I've ever played!. Most tee boxes have been cut back and airways allowed to burn out somewhat … I believe that may be in anticipation of winter seeding in early/mid September. Some tee boxes should be minorly contoured to be flat instead of "humping" in the center.
Good course
Good course...we played it on 8/23, hot as h$#@
Had a great time !!
Interesting 9 hole course
Course runs through a canyon area except one hole where the tee box puts you up on the rim asking you to drive your ball out into the canyon. Greens were perfect. The ball tracks right to the hole if you pick the right line, Don't make the mistake of getting above the hole.
Excellent Condition
The course is in excellent condition from tee to green. The staff are always very friendly and helpful.
Nice 9 hole course.
In fabulous condition, 9 holes but you play the same 9 again but from different tees which is very unique. Cindy in the pro shop was friendly and helpful. Decided to stop after 9 due to lightning in the area and they gave a free 9 holes.
This course requires accurate shots
This course is easy if you normally hit straight shots. If you are like me and sometimes your golf ball has a mind of it's own, you will enjoy a fun but challenging round. Bring extra golf balls. My wife and I play this course at least once a month and sometimes more. The staff are always friendly and the course is always in good shape.
Exceptional
This is the best 9 hole golf course I have ever golfed on
The course requires a variety of shots that makes the golf experience very enjoyable and you will want to come back time again and again.
Coyote Trails
Short course and only 9 holes that you play twice but kept in beautiful shape! On vacation here and we enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere.
A surprising challenge
For a short 9 hole course it is a good challenge with tight landing areas and longer par 3’s (from the blue tees). Fairways are in great shape, greens were recently verticut so sometimes your putt would have a mind of its own but they were recovering well.
