Coyote trails 9 holes
Fun little course. Challenging tight layout allows you to practice sharpening your small game. Greens very good.
9 holes only. I played three 9s. Fun stuff.
Coyote trails in cottonwood az
Fun little course. Accuracy counts. Pretty much a tune up course. Bring your short game. Greens well maintained. Fairways and tee boxes suffering a bit. But course is in a wash so have to say they are doing a good job of keeping it up.
Nine hole course. I played it three times for a quick 27 hole warmup. Hope to play here again sometime.
Thanks for the hospitality!
Fun Course
Had a good round today. The course is not long but it does have its challenges. You have to be accurate or it can be unforgiving. Not sure if the grounds keepers are preparing for Fall reconditioning, but there was a lot of casual water on the course and some of the tee boxes were in rough shape.
Great hidden gem
9 hole course. We played it twice. A really great time. The fairways were very good. The greens were excellent. We finished our rounds in just over 2 1/4 hours. Play early as you can. The weather is very hot. Due to very generous watering the humidity level was pretty high. I look forward to my wife and I playing this course in the fall. This is truly a gem to seek out for all golfers.
Fun course
This is just a fun little course. It’s not an A level track but man is it pretty. Relatively new so definitely check it out
A Verde Valley gem of a nine hole course
I have played this course for ten years but few times in mid summer. I was delighted with overall course conditions from tee to green. Greens were exceptionally nice. They are rolling very well (and fast) and smooth.
This is a fairly narrow course that rewards shots in the fairways.
JJ's canteen is a nice cafe at the course for breakfast sandwiches and lunch bites. Decent set of beer choices and wines. Prices are very fair.
If you are in the Verde Valley , do not miss this gem!
Second time
This is our second day here. Still a beautiful layout and challenge. We mixed it up today with varying tee boxes to change it up a bit. Blue, White, then Red tee boxes switching every hole. Accuracy off the tee is still paramount! A big hitter could drive the par fours but the proper club selection off the tee will give most golfers a better chance of hitting the green in regulation. Greens and fairways in excellent condition. The rough can be penal. David in the pro shop is very cordial and efficient. Bring plenty of golf balls. If you stray, you are going to need them. A replay is at a reduced rate so you can get in 18 holes!! A definite stop when in the area
A real challenge
The course plays to every skill level based on the player's tee box choice. The course conditions were great! If you miss the fairway, the rough will penalize you! Only one hole with water. Fairways are tree lined, so accuracy is a premium. Holes are not long but hole layout requires proper placement off the tee for a good approach shot. Greens putt true with some slope and few undulations. Grill was available but not used by us except for ice for the ice bucket to keep our water bottles cold. A practice warmup area is available off of mats and irons only. David in the pro shop took care of our group, ensures tee times are on time!!
The pro shop does contain merchandise labeled with Coyote Trails. Golf balls available. You'll need them if you stray. Balls are lost easily and David recommends not going out into the arroyos or forest since snakes are out and about!!!
