We enjoy playing this course
The people who work here are excellent and very kind.
My wife and me like it there
The only problem we had was, we were close to the first ones on the course, and we had no ones ahead of us we could see. On i/2 way around the back there was 2 groups ahead of us that were extremely slow, and the ones ahead of us didn't ask us to go ahead, so it was hard to play . That's it. We will go back.
Good course.
My wife/I play at many courses in different areas, we really enjoyed playing at this course, we took our
time and was not pressured to rushed (move along) because of waiting golfers, we definitely will play
there again and its a 1 1/2 hour drive from our home.
Poor excuse for a golf course
The course is laid out between mobile homes, so that should be your first clue. There was no typical golf course grass to be found. Greens were mostly rye grass about 1 inch long. Parking lot and cart paths were dirt. Men's bathroom reeked! They need to sell off the land for a mobile home park.
The Oaks
Staff is friendly.
For being the only course around. It was nice, very few hazards but the back is tight.
Enjoyed it
Good Times
Good little course with a Great community of golfers.
Greens are very fair and you can score appropriately for the course rating.
This course has a beautiful setting
They are doing a great job on bringing the course back. It's a beautiful setting, great people, haven't tried the restaurant but it is always packed when we've been there. We've golfed at The Oaks 5 times and it gets better every time.
Better Conditions in January
Played here in January and really enjoyed the back nine. This time the course was in tough shape but still very playable. Recent heavy rain delayed grass cutting and quite a lot of standing water. A number of the greens are in rough shape as well. Really can’t complain for the price but hope they can bring it back to better conditions. Very friendly staff and great burgers and beer!
A Hidden Jewel!
I love playing the Oaks for many reasons. The course layout is interesting as the front is well designed and very playable. The back is cut out of a nature forest that is very challenging with an accent of keeping the ball in play. You use every club in the bag and know how to play the back nine by careful club selection. The greens and tees are exquisite and in extremely in great shape. The fairways are very good and the rough challenging but fair!
The restaurant is an incredible establishment with great food and friendly service with Kevin's special sauces and sandwiches. You have to try the wings here. Very good prices as well as the rates to play here.
Once you play it once, I guarentee you will be back many times! Always play here and am a 9 handicapper.
Quiet hidden Jem
In a quiet town in Florida hides this simple and properly quaint golf course that does everything right . The course front 9 is simple and a good test . Well maintained greens give you a true feel . The back nine is beautifully carved out of the local forest providing a scenic view with nature all around , it takes you on a pleasant journey. All that said the course can be challenging as it requires you to be sure to keep it on the fairway , because the rough immediately connects to the forest and not much room for error. However it’s good for all level of golfers.
The staff and hospitality are at the highest level , Kevin and Adam really make you feel welcome . We stayed for a bite to eat and the food is very good with some unique and delicious items on the menu . The kitchen staff and servers really care about what they do and take great care of you .
It’s worth the drive , come and play . You won’t be disappointed.
Out in the woods
Staff is great, price is great, pace is great, not much is missed at this location. Played here a bunch, but not in over a year and it’s in good shape. It’s pretty laid back and everything I was looking forward to. Thanks.
Greens are in great shape. Enjoyed playing here. Fairways need work. Overall I like this course .
Best conditioned greens I’ve EVER played on. Bar none.
The above title tells it all. An incredible value. Try it. You’ll love it.
Wow
The nices greens and T boxes I ever seen, fairways poor overall great staff
A Diamond in the Rough
Filled with ‘Tin Cup’ charm. So worth the drive and a great value for the money! Pristine greens and approaches that are seriously plush and well manicured. Well marked layout made it easy to navigate the convoluted course. Staff is friendly, polite and courteous. The reality checks are: no water, no sand, tight back 9, and all the fairways could use work. But, it is a gem that I wished was closer to Ormond Beach!! Well worth the drive ..... we’ll go back.
