Palatka Golf Club

About
Neighbor to the beautiful Ravine State Gardens, Palatka Golf Club offers a game that is as scenic as it is entertaining. Designed by Donald Ross in 1925, the golf course was created with all skill levels of golfers in mind. The layout is player friendly, but there are still many challenging elements to keep golfers on their toes, including Ross' signature "turtleback" greens. There are also numerous bunkers fiercely guarding the greens. The signature hole of the course is the par-3 third. This 188-yard hole is a test of accuracy, requiring a difficult tee shot to a well bunkered green. Palatka Golf Club also offers a unique aqua driving range for golfers to use.

Palatka - A Good Beginner’s Couse
Fairways were in good shape. Greens had been aerated and sanded and were therefore slow. Main problem to us was the course design which was basic and not very interesting. Good course for beginners.
A Glorified cow pasture
Let me begin on a positive note,
the starter was top notch as far as friendly goes.
He let us know that the Azalea amateurs were coming in a couple of days, we figured we were in for a treat as far as golf course conditions were concerned
And now to the rest
Course layout is absolutely awful, I would imagine several people get hit or come close to being hit while playing.
Couple of the tee boxes were well within striking range of the previous hole.
The fairways were thin and screaming for water, the greens had bare spots… the tee boxes were lacking any lush surface, and far from being green.
we were told the course was in championship condition.
It is obvious the person on the phone, that told us that, has never been to a PGA event
I cannot understand how you would play any amateur event at this golf course, the states has so many courses to chose from why Palatka?
this one is a must NOT see
Don’t waste your time
First time there
Friendly staff, great price. The variety of tees made it very playable for every level of player. We are average players and found it challenging, yet still fun to play. For a more skillful player, I think the back tees would provide plenty of.challenge.
We will definitely play it again during our visit in the area.
Decent bargin
Played quite slow due to an outing earlier in the day. I’m told it is usually better pace. I will go back!
Pace of plzy
Mixed foursome in front all played very poorly. Roll the ball walk 10 feet roll it another 10 feet.just horrible would not let our foursome play through. No ranger other course called club house they wouldn't even come out.
