Broadlands Golf Club

About
Broadlands Golf Club in North Prairie is one of the most popular public golf courses in the Milwaukee area and also one of southeastern Wisconsin's best values. With a wide-open, virtually treeless landscape, the course has a traditional links design. It offers plenty of challenges but it is also not overly difficult for high handicappers. Water comes into play on a few holes, mostly on the front nine. Emphasis is placed on proper club selection, especially for the finishing hole, a downhill par 3 with bunkers and native grasses framing the two-tiered green. It is an especially tough hole on a windy day. The golf course is versatile and accommodates a wide range of skill levels. Its playability has made it a popular host for amateur tournaments and outings. Broadlands Golf Club also has a driving range for golfers to use.

Great value for the money!
Broadlands is one of the best public courses in the area. You would think this is a private club by the entrance, the bag drop and the clubhouse. The staff is great as well. The course was in great shape except some of the tee boxes were a bit chewed up. Other than that ,great! The pace of play was a bit slow, but not terrible, the weather was great, and a lot of people were playing, so that's understandable. Nice wide, well kept fairways. great layout. I would have to think No. 16 is the signature hole on this course. Have played here often in the past, and will continue to do so.

Worth playing
I recommend playing golf here. Course is in pretty good condition with nice greens. Wish they didn’t gouge people on drink prices.
Course is nice shape. Tee boxes need some attention.. cart girl needs to make it around the course more on those hot day. I don’t need a drink on 18.
Pace of play issues last two times out
We started off with an 8-10 minute delay due to the fact that it probably takes way too long to pay for your tee time in the pro shop,
And then there wasn’t really a ranger moving things along to try and pick up the pace of play. That didn’t happen so it took 5 hours to play 18 in 88* weather. The American Flags on the pins was a nice touch and the course played well.
Broadlands
Course in great condition and 4 hr round. I;ii be back!
Course is in good shape
The course and greens were 100%better than they were in May. The fairways and greens were in great shape. We had a great time.
Broadlands review
Broadlands is my favorite local corse. Some challenging holes but an average golfer hitting well can get some pars and even a birdie or two. I’m a long hitting but accuracy can be off. When hitting well I can get 81-83 and if I’m off it is more like 85-92. I like that my score reflects how I’m playing versus other courses it doesn’t seem to matter. I like that the holes have some elevation and some turns and some water, just enough. Greens are well kept, above average. Pace of play is better than some places but can be slow at times... could be better. Also, be careful not to pick even a slightly windy day. It always seems to be a little to a LOT windy. I pick only nice days to play!
Good and Not as Good
The Broadlands is a terrific layout. Every experience there has been enjoyable. Today’s round, with two other players, was trending the same way. Then we reached the back nine, only to find ourselves playing behind a sixsome—yes, six players. They were apparently playing a three team best ball. The sixsome never considered waving us through. They seemed more intent on bumping their carts into other carts, etc.
We played the front nine in 1:35. The back nine took 2:15. We played the final four holes in the rain, waiting on every hole.
How were six players allowed to play together? Was there no one who could marshall play?
This experience will cause me to carefully consider playing The Broadlands again—a course I greatly enjoy—anytime soon.
Great facility for the price
Highly recommend this course. Entire staff are excellent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Slow
Broadbands is always a well kept course with good to great breaks and fairways. Using GolfNow you can find time to play this course and it doesn’t break the bank. Yesterday was one of those time where I could take my son out for twilight golf. Tee time was made so that we had four hours to play before sunset, we were ten minutes late to go off the first tee, and before us a twosome went off and then a three some, at the last moment we were pared with a single. Seems that three groups could have been made into two groups pretty easily. Unfortunately we were not able to finish our round.
Challenging but fun
The course had a great holes. Some short par 4s for scoring. Some easy and tough par 3s as well as some long par 5s. Great course great layout and was not to bad to walk if ur in shape
