Sheds Ladies Golf Society
21 ladies from our society played in Athlone GC on 29/6/2024. We had a super day . We received a warm welcome from the members on arrival. We loved the course and the weather obliged on the day. We had good fun in the bar after the golf . Would recommend this golf course for a great day out.
Sheds ladies golf society
The Sheds ladies golf society played Athlone golf club yesterday. The course was challenging but there was not too much rough. The main obstacles were the trees and lakes. The fairways were in great condition and beautiful views throughout of Lough Ree. The greens were fast and generally on a slope and a bit tricky.
We hired buggies which was great as the course is quite hilly.
The staff in the Pro Shop were extremely friendly and helpful. We got a very warm welcome from Gerry and Sylvia McInerney members of the club. We even managed to meet Michael Evans, new President of Golf Ireland there and had great fun with all. Unbelievable hospitality.
The restaurant is renowned for high quality food and extremely popular.
We all loved Athlone Golf Club.
Highly recommended! With Hudson Bay Hotel next door it makes for a most enjoyable experience.

Golf Pass excellent price
Love this course played it so many times at different times of the year. A little soft at times but a good challenge. Best played in Jun when there is a Open and the ground is solid.
Magnificent views over looking the lake from the Club house and a excellent Menu.With the Hotel next door a Golfer could not ask for more
Plenty of character
The facilities and course were excellent for early in the season. Staff were great and made feel very welcome. Would definitely play again.
excellent course amateur golfer course not a million miles long but greens tricky. In pristine condition when we played so credit to all. A gorgeous view from clubhouse when having a bite after. Will certainly be back
Excellent Golf Club
Excellent all round. Guy at pro shop very friendly. Course in fantastic condition; tee boxes, fairways, greens, everywhere was very well maintained. Nice layout, except for 13th, a completely blind tee shot. Cleaning area in good working order and very clean locker room. Didn’t go to bar/ restaurant.

GREAT COURSE
ITS a Wonderful Golf Course and the Greens were incredible as usual.

We were very welcome and in spite of the fact that the greens had just been sanded the Course looked fantastic! The guy in the shop and the restaurantholder were both specially nice and friendly! We had a nice talk with both of them!
Enjoyable day for a game of golf! Difficult Course however!
interesting and tricky
So interesting, some quirky, some tough, but not one boring hole.
Greens just poleforked, and 1st hole out of play,hence the low rate, but still very enjoyable.
Will be back.

Played this course when staying at Hodson Bay Hotel, a few hundred yards away. Excellent course, well worth the Golf Now deal
