Greens and Fairways need work
Some of the greens were in poor condition, spots of bare ground and weeds. Some of the fairways were in need of mowing.

Everyone is professional. Course great layout but the greens are sad☹️ Pic of #4 green
not worth playing
terrible greens fairways. bunkers are full of debris, no rakes. just a horrible place to play.
Disappointing
Could be good if they cared enough to maintain it.
You get what you pay for
I played this course once before so I knew what to expect. Is it Grand Cypress or Bay Hill, absolutely not, but it was good for what I wanted, a practice round. There are no driving ranges around so I use courses like this as a way to work on my game. I had the 1st tee time and I could hit 2-3 balls on every shot and work out the kinks in my game. There are some tight fairways so it helps me work on keeping it in the short grass.
Q School
Great layout. The tee boxes could use some TLC. The fairways are a combination of Bermuda and crab grass. The greens are in good condition except for the occasional sand hill crane divot mark. Would recommend at the current prices(<20)
Great Value and ideal for amateurs
A little hard to find as it’s located deep into a community. Directions on website take you a half mile out of your way, so if you’ve never been there it is a little frustrating.
Course is by far from manicured. Clubhouse is rough ..... but let’s get to the good stuff!
Employees / bar tender were super kind and helpful. Ran into a group of regulars who were nice enough to give out pointers and invite me to their next weeks gathering.
The wife and I had all the time in the world to play at our own pace. Never felt rushed or in danger of upsetting someone.
Course is challenging even for someone who is seasoned .... nice layout.
For the $, this is a great value for a chill day. Very relaxing and our business was appreciated.
rough
the course is in bad condition bunkers are wasteland greens are being pecked up by cranes obviously not being sprayed ,more cost cutting .greenkeeper needs to get a grip.
We enjoyed the day
Customer service was 5 stars, everyone is always so nice. Course has its issues with weeds but honestly, very playable. Bunkers are getting the weeds creeping in but you can still play out of them. Tees are about the same, needs some TLC and obviously funds. Greens are slow but not terrible. All in all it’s a place to play with great service.
Course Maintenance
Course was wide open and often would slow us down with being in the was of our drives or second shots, tec.
Found out at check in that we were going to be charged as a four some though we only booked a twosome.
My group of players enjoys playing the East course. The greens are in reasonably good condition but slow. The course was wet, due to recent rains.
As always, the employees were very friendly and helpful.
Playable...
Checking in and getting a cart was a breeze, two very nice gentleman. On to the course, the greens are slow but are ok, just slow and grainy. Unfortunately, the fairways and rough are nothing but weeds, but again playable. If they could mow it would be much better. Bunkers are what you’d expect. Overall, it’s a place to get away and just play golf.
Fun day
Always fun to play. Might not be in perfect shape but fun to play and enough challenges to keep you on your game. Thanks Billie we’ll be back
goatranch conditions
Take your putter out to an asphalt or cement driveway. Count the times the ball bounces left or right on a 15 foot path...then practice distance control ..vary from a nap carpet to a linoleum floor and several on closely mown lawn patch...you should have this down when you play the greens.
They have markers on all the tee areas..otherwise you could not tell them from the fairway and the fairway from the roughs. Make your group a bunker rule...you can place the ball in any area not torn up by footprints, bird tracks, or washed out cuts. Lift, clean and place to any grass suitable on the fairway, there are patches of good grass within a 3 foot range of your ball.
Imagine the worst conditioned course you have ever played...give that course a 1 to 10 and then subtract 5 to 8 and you will have this course rated for playing conditions. Enjoy your round.
So sad to see the property in this shape
Greens are in great shape relative to others in the area. Fairways are sporadic at best. But where's the challenge in playing in the fairway? Rough lives up to its name. Definitely rough. I worked at Grenelefe in its prime and it is sad to see the property in this shape. Loves the South course, but it was closed. However, I enjoyed my rounds on the East and it was a good value with the 'hot deals' on GN.
