White Heron Golf Club (formerly known as Ridgewood Lakes Golf Club) has had many accolades over its history and for good reason. The Ted McAnlis layout is sculptured from lush rolling land and features immaculate playing conditions year round. Water and natural wetlands come into play on 16 of our 18 holes and the resident breeze can significantly change the course from day to day. Yet despite the natural beauty and obvious pedigree of the layout, with four sets of tees the course is still enjoyable for golfers of all levels.

Amazing staff

The golf course plays tough. But, it’s in amazing condition Staff at The White Heron is one of the greatest groups of guys you’ll ever meet. Also , the food in the “ Nest” is delicious and extremely resumable.

Worst Experience Ever

The course conditions were terrible, the fairways had little grass, it felt that you were hitting dirt. One of the bogeys of my group turned off, I Think a $95 green fee is too much expensive for a course with that Poor conditions.

I'm not sure what course you played but it wasn't White Heron. Please if your leaving a review make sure it's honest. We have some of the best fairways and rough for a under 150.00 course in central fl, also we do not have a 95.00 greens fee.

A Good Value

White Heron is a fun course to play. Lots of risk/reward holes and strategically placed water hazards. The conditions are a bit rough as the course is a victim of the drought conditions and economics. For roughly 70 bucks in peak season I call it a good value and definitely will play again. I found the staff friendly from the pro shop, starter and bartender. GPS on the cart was helpful too.

Deteriorated significantly

Have played this course a lot and always enjoyed it. However fairways are now mediocre and greens are now very poor. So disappointed, could not really recommend it at present, hard to enjoy when the greens are so poor.Hopefully they manage to improve them.

Great layout. Greens need work. Got paired with a couple. He was VERY SLOW. Kept wishing for a Marshal to show up to speed him along. Never happened.

Good course but needs a little TLC.

We really enjoyed playing White Heron, and the staff were friendly and super helpful. Course conditions were ok and I understand that it has been extremely dry this year, but there are a few rough areas on the course. Greens were decent and rolled well.

Great Course - Would Play Again

This course was in great condition and a good price given the time of year and course condition. I would absolutely play here again. Even though the then was short, the greens played fast and was challenging enough for my 2 handicap brother
