Desert Hills Golf Course

Good course conditions and steady pace of play. We walked the course and as a twosome we’re able to keep up with a foursome in golf carts

Always like desert hills especially that it is not "condo golf" like many other courses. Good condition for a course in the desert. Roughs are quite playable but do try to stay on the the green stuff!!

Nice coarse in fair condition but the pace of play was unbelievably slow and the marshal could care less. I walked into the pro shop to see if I could play as a walk on and the short lady with a poney tail behind the counter told me there was a time at 12:08 for me to play for 50$ I said great I’ll book it for 27$ on golf now. she didn’t like that amd got very upset and rudely said go ahead. On the turn I tried to buy a hot dog with my phone not having cash and the lady behind the bar was offended I would hand her my phone to pay, then some rude Mid 20’s girl short with tattoos with her hair in braids started getting extremely sassy and rudely said you and one other person are the only people that have had a problem with handing their phones over to pay and was extremely rude about it.

Then at the end of my 14 holes because I was tired of sitting in the golf cart and not playing do to the extremely slow pace of play. I went to the bathroom to wash my hands after my 14 holes and there was no paper towels so I went into the bar to ask for towels for the bathroom and a rude employee that apparently works on the greens crew by the name of David Eckels who looked to be drunk drinking beer told me to stop being a F’N A hole and there was paper towels on the cart in the bathroom. I told him he was mistaken and it was toilet paper so he went in the bathroom to confirm then came back out and called me more expletives. Maybe I expected too much from Desert Hills municipal golf course. So all that being said I will never play desert hills golf course again

Unbelievable the staff get away with acting like this.

Typically windy day at this course…lol. Don’t mind that around Yuma but course conditions including first cut of rough is crappy.. Hard to get any type of clean contact. But, if you can keep it in the fairway, not so bad.

Try to play early in the morning or late afternoon or you will be waiting to hit every shot. Took almost 5 hours to play 15 holes.

The play was a bit slow because ot the number of groups over 4 were slow. Some groups had from 5 to 7 playing. That had a tendency to slow the play quite a bit.
