Excellent value
It had been a year since the last time I played and the course then was"ok". Now, I think it's in excellent shape including the greens.
Fairways
Greens run true. Must be 11 or 12?
Well manicured.
Great course for tge money
The course layout is very nice. The fairway were a little long. The greens had some bear spots. Over all it was a pleasant experience. I would like to play again.
Decent course with a nice open layout. The greens and fairways were in decent condition. I played in the middle of the day so not too many people out. If you want to use the range, bring cash. The range is actually separate from the course.
Close to home
Been a few years since last round at Heritage. Not much has changed with the exception of new carts. For most part, tee boxes, fairways, and greens were in decent shape. There were some sick spots on a few greens but still workable. It's an atypical layout and i found that to be a refreshing change of pace. Played the 6000# tees and had fun with some of the shots into the 20kt winds swirling around a nearby thunderstorm. Aside from the gruff employee in the shop that appeared he wanted to be anywhere other than in the golf shop, our group enjoyed Heritage Ridge and would return for another round.
old style course
old course, good value, decent, but some tee boxes and greens were in rough shape, fairways mostly in in good shape, seems mostly older people play here, but pace of play is steady at normal pace
decent place
A few nice holes made up for teeing up a half hour late because of overbooking. Friendly staff and decent greens are the good points of the course. Below average fairways make rolling the ball a must.
Tough Course Made Tougher By Poor Maintenance
I was somewhat disappointed by the playing conditions at this course. At 6100 yds and par 70 rating I was expecting a somewhat difficult course and was not disappointed. However, I was not expecting it to be made more difficult due do poor maintenance. Some fairways are narrow and there are multiple water hazards and bunkers strategically placed. The course is well layer out for a golfer who wants a challenge.
Some tee boxes are in rough shape as are some of the fairways. Some of the greens are in bad shape. The 13 th hole is particularly in need of repairs with large areas of baldness. It appears that more watering is needed in many areas of the course. There were several areas where fallen fonds should have been removed and were left in play..
If you are booking an early Friday afternoon tee time you should be aware you may be pushed back due to a regularly scheduled group or league. When I checked in they informed me of this and I was told they had just send a group of golfers called the “Skins “. As it turned out the delay was only about 30 minutes.
This could become a great course if more attention were paid to maintenance.
So. So
Good value for the cost. Conditions so so. Staff not overly friendly.
