Deer Valley Golf Course in Hummelstown boasts one of the most affordable rounds you'll find in the Hershey/Harrisburg area. Since opening in 2005, more than 850 trees have been added and it has matured into a course favored by both visitors and locals. The layout features large, elevated greens and massive multi-tiered tees. From the golf course's peaks, the views stretch all the way to Hershey and the Blue Mountains. The winding layout twists and turns, doglegging left and right. It's a challenging layout round despite the absence of sand bunkers. There is however, thick rough and a number of grass bunkers to watch out for. Water only makes a brief appearance. Deer Valley Golf Course isn't overly challenging but for a fun and fair test, it's an affordable option that also offers some beautiful scenery.

Stunning Course
You’d think for the price it would be an okay course. NO! It is absolutely high end for price point! Green roll great, fairway is beautiful and overall I was very impressed with this course and their staff. I will absolutely come back to this course when I can.

Good public course
I had never played Deer Valley, but will definitely be back. The rate was reasonable, the staff was friendly, and the course layout was good. The course from the white tees plays about 5500 yards, so its a little shorter than most, which suits my senior game just fine. It was nice to be hitting middle and short irons towards the green instead of long irons and hybrids.
Very solid for early spring
The greens rolled true, were reasonably drained considering the recent rain, and limited cart restrictions. Considering how early it is in the season, the course was quite playable.
Course condition
The course is really good shape especially with the lack of rain the staff super friendly

Could be my new favorite golf course
This is my 2nd experience at Deer Valley. For October and very dry conditions, the course was green and in great shape. The only issue is that it's an hour+ drive. BUT, I pass numerous other golf courses to get there because I am enjoying the place. On my 1st experience, I was joined by my nephew from SW Virginia. He's coming back this time bringing his 2 sons along. We're booked in 2 weeks...
