Reviewer Photos
Yep,, reviews about rude guy were spot on!
Old school course….pretty easy if you keep it in play, short course, smaller greens, but fun to play. Course was what I expected and in good shape. Blue course was the better 9. Pro shop guy was truly rude just like all the reviews say…it was spot on! Not one ounce of people skills in his body. Claimed we didn’t have a tee time until I showed him my phone with the PICTURE of our tee time. Dead silence from Captain Sunshine. I will say the two women working the restaurant were AWESOME! Super nice. More than likely will pass on playing this course again because due to pro shop experience
Fun Course
Took my wife out for a morning round and we both enjoyed it! Not too easy, and not too challenging. If the course would level out several of the tee boxes, they would get 5 stars from me. Great scenery and a fun experience.
Too Slow
My wife and i play here quite often Love the course and the value . The. employees in the restaurant and bar are awesome, super friendly, courteous, and very personal. Now as for the starters and the front desk personal , they could use a lesson in people skills. Very Rude and unfriendly . Always give me the impression they don't want to be there. . No Rangers on the course to speed up play. We were twosome and had to wait every hole for the slowest foursome I've ever played behind.
Unfriendly Staff
The golf itself was fine. I enjoy Delbrook for the most part. But I felt very rushed during this experience.. we had a 3:00 tee time for my birthday and it was just my wife and I. The gentleman in the pro shop made it very clear to us that we had to be off the course by 4:50 because they had league starting and that was the shotgun start. He explained this to me 3 times. In my mind, I am a paying customer so if my round takes me past that time, then league has to wait. We felt very rushed and that the league was more important than our business.
Conditions
Course was in really good condition considering the heavy rains that were dealt at the night before. Greens fee was a little slow. Otherwise courses in great condition
Rude man at check in.
Our day got off to a bad start on check in. The older man at the check desk was unfriendly to rude. Certainly not the person I would expect at a local coarse. Left a very bad taste in our experience. He needs a coarse in manners. At his stage of life he isn’t about to change so just get rid of him.
Good golf bad service
Arrived 1 hour before my tee time for 3 people! Wanted to check in, put clubs on cart and have breakfast! Upon entering the pro shop or should I say non pro shop I was ignored by an angry old guy named Bob! When he finally decided to address me it was what is your t time, I said it and he said your an hour early like I was committing a crime! Yes Bob I want to check in before breakfast! He replies “ go have breakfast and com back when it’s your t time”! Wow it took everything not to reach over and pull him over the counter! But, I went and had breakfast with my guests! After breakfast I went to rest room and my buddies went to get there cart, when I got to the pro shop, Bob ignored me and helped someone who came in after me! Finally I asked him go a cart key and he said he gave it to my buddy! Found buddy and he said he only got 1 key! I ended up grabbing a cart that someone just dropped! It turns out Bob was upset I bought the golf on line! Bob needs to retire! Course was fine and breakfast was great!
The person at check in was unfriendly to rude 8:30 am Monday morning. Got our day off to a bad start.
The man at the check in desk was unfriendly to rude. Got us off to a very bad start to what was otherwise a very good experience . 8:30 am Monday. We would think Twice before playing there again if we had to deal with this rude grumpy old man.
Unique
What I love most about this course is that you can go back a week later and play a different 18holes then the week prior. This gives the course added time for maintenance on the 9holes not being played that current week. This course is in excellent shape and would recommend to any novice golfer.
Great day!
Weather and course ( once we figured out the North. Middle. South 9’s on our own. ) it was a great day. Lunch was delicious and that staff was friendly as well as the pro. However the desk gentlemen in pro shop could be friendlier... not much help there for a new person!!!
