What a great course!
Course was in excellent shape! We got a good deal off Golfnow and we were very impressed with the course conditions, lay out and strategic playing. Check it out! Fun play!
Well kept
As always the course was tip top. Greens in great shape.
a nice relaxing day with friends
The course was in good shape. the greens were a little slow but that is understandable since we have had very little rain and we don't want the greens to burn. so leave them a little longer.. the staff was great and we had a very enjoyable day. I will go back.
Need a ranger
People were on the course that had NO idea what they were doing and there wasn't a ranger anywhere to help keep pace of play. It took us 6 hours to golf 18 holes.
BATMAN GOLF
CHALLENGING, GREAT CONDITION, AND GOOD PRICE MAKE FOR GOOD GOLF DAY!
Pace of play
Overall the staff was awesome. There was a group that was just horribly slow it took 4 hours to finish 9 holes. I know it was the weekend but that is just horrible!! Ranger tried to speed them up. We didn't get to finish and we started at 1239. The course is nice for a metro park
Worth the drive
We see this course going to Detroit airport all the time, so we thought we'd give it a try. Great deal on Golf Now website over 50% off. Staff was very friendly even though the computer was acting up. A very playable course. You could hit around the trouble (mostly water) with a decently placed shot. A couple of severe doglegs let you keep the driver in the bag and hit an iron off the tee. Traps were well raked and not too hard to get out of either. Biggest rap was the greens were pretty slow actually, but I guess hit the ball harder. Pace of play was almost to fast, my son and I played in about 3 1/2 hours and believe me we weren't in any hurry. The kid played from the blues and had a 76. I scrubbed three holes on the back and had an 87 from the whites. Worth the hour it took to get there from Toledo area , planning on going back. Thanks Golf Now.
My favorite course
This is by far my favorite course that me, my father and a few other friends enjoy going to. Each hole has its own challenges which makes it really fun. The course is always very very well maintained. The staff is overall very friendly with the exception of 1 or 2 people. The food is a basic line up but we usually get lunch or dinner after anyway. They just started getting new golf carts in which is definitely a plus. We've got stuck behind a few very slow people but they will usually let us play through. Overall, it is my favorite course
Good Value
Nice course for any skill type of golfer. Many challenging holes and a few good scenic holes as well.
Too expensive
Course conditions were poor. Fairways were a mess, bunkers were un-raked and tee boxes needed cutting. I liked the layout but it is a $25 course tops, not $38.
Shot making required!
The layout was a joy to play with it having dog-legs, well placed water and bunkers, and forced carriers. Small amount of elvation changes from tee to green. Played as a single and people let me play through until I got to the final 4 holes ( 3 hour round).
The course conditoins were a bit rough with the fairways having some bare, crab grass areas. Greens rolled nicely. Would play again!
Excellent course
Challenging but yet not to tough for even first timer. Highly recommend at least trying this course once if you haven't already.
Nice layout
Played course often green and fairways a little ruff I'm not sure if because of rain lately I will play when plush it is awesome
Bad Shape
Greens were the slowest I ever played on , lot's of hot spots all over the course . Pin Placement was like Sunday at the Masters, Don't they realize it's weekend warriors out there
Great time
Good course bring bug spray, pace of play was good until we made the turn starter needs to pair up small groups
GOLF Now only costed me additional money
The rate was the same when I arrived as Golf Now. Basically paid $5 extra bucks to Golf now, then paid same price at the courase that I would have if I didn't book through golf now. Next time I'll be more observent.
Great scenery
Took advantage of a $25 offer to try one of the areas metro park courses. Very beautiful & serene golf course for a municipal course. The biggest and only issue was that the drainage is horrible! Would not recommend playing this course until after several days of a rainfall. Several fairways had very bad ponds in low spots and with nearly every fairway soaked no roll on any shots. Most bunkers were temporary water hazards. Greens were very soft and slow, but were easy to adjust to.
WOW! Willow Metropark Golf Course It's a Great Place.
I book a round of golf for myself and my son-in-laws dad. He hadn't been golfing in over a year or more. First the staff were excellent help, they were organized by explaining how many groups were in front. Willow has a waiting area for the first hole and the rangers are nice as well. The greens at Willow are wide and while the course is challenging if you play within youself you can have a great time. What I really enjoy about this course is the natural setting ( huge trees, forestation, streams, and wildlife). However, the mosquito's almost extracted a pint of blood, but this just par for course at a state park. Overall, I'll go back over and over again with long pants and mosquito spray. Lol Rj
course conditions not up to par
Very wet no drainage ..could not tell the difference between the fairway and rough
