Nice course
Played the course yesterday with my wife and another couple for $22 per person. Can not beat that deal for this course. The track was in nine shape for late October with a few leaf problems on a some of the greens which we expected. The staff did have a blower out but the leaves were falling faster than they could keep up. This greens were in good shape with some rolling a lot faster than others.
A TREAT TO PLAY
WE PLAY THIS COURSE OFTEN BECAUSE THE CONDITIONS ARE GREAT AND THE STAFF IS FRIENDLY.
Great coarse / bring the bug spray
Great coarse with good elevation change. Down by the river bug spray is an absolute must.
course was challenging but fair
I enjoyed it will golf it again. Mosquitos were bad but other than that really nice course I recommend it to everyone
challenging but fair
Ho play it you will love it. Excellent condition. Staff is nice you will enjoy the round
too slow
I don't have enough space to explain why this place isn't worth it. Do yourself a solid and find another course near by, because remember this place is a Metro Park...not just a golf course.
money hungry
ATTENTION ALL GOLFERS!!! This place books multiple groups for one single tee time and has NO RANGER on duty! It took me (a single) just about 3 hours to play nine holes w/ a cart. I was told that I actually PAID MORE using GOLFNOW, when GOLFNOW says I'm saving 15%??...But worst of all, after 3 hours of slothing around the front 9, I told the man working that I didn't have another 3 hours to play a 6 hour round of golf and would like a rain check. I was told that I would only be given half credit for 9 holes w/ a cart, and that I would have to pay the other half (after I was told earlier I paid TOO MUCH!) So if you like extremely slow, congested golf that may take 6-7 hours, this place is for you! I will NEVER EVER return to this snobby, money hungry golf course again! Find a course that cares more about YOU the golfer and not just your pockets, like Harbour Club in Belleville, Green Oaks in Ypsi, or Riverview Highlands.
Nice course
Excellent course. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Will be playing weekly. Thanks everyone for a really enjoyable time.
Great!
Overall one of the better courses in southeast michigan.
This course is in great shape.
The golf course has a nice layout. The fairways were green and trim. Easy to play off of. The greens had a nice pace. Very challenging. You had to play position to have a chance at the green. I especially liked the graphics at each tee.
Good value
The course was in excellent condition. One of the best values Downriver.
Quirky, Tight Course
This was my first time playing Willow in almost 3 years and the course was in very good condition. Greens were in very good shape just a little on the slow side, fairways were well mantained and were actually being watered midday on some holes. Bunkers were also well maintained with plenty of sand.
The course itself features many Par 4's that require less then driver off the tee for longer hitters as there's many doglegs that make you play 200-250 off the tee and no longer. It's a fun course to play for the value and I would reccomend it.
Fun and Relaxed Course
The course was well kept and the holes were varied enough to keep it interesting. No issues with the staff, and pace of play was excellent.
VerynNice course
Willow Metro park is a very nice course. The course was damp at 0700 in the morning, but expected. The greens were not cut, which I wished they were, because of the amount of water still on the greens when we putted. There are several dog legs that were enjoyable. The condition of the greens, fairways, and tee boxes were very good. Some of the holes for my wife were a little too long, even from the red tees. We will play this course again. The wife was somewhat bothered by the constant jets taking off from Detroit Metro, but got use to it after a while.
good course
Course is in good shape. The bunkers need to be taken care of better, more like hard pan.
Beautiful shape
The course was in awsome shape had a beautiful morning with deer running around on the course. I live 5 minutes from this course and I was was very pleased with everything a metro parks course had to offer . The greens were in excellent shape which really surprised me after the bad winter. It was a great day with my son on a really nice course.
Wonderful Layout!
Willow has some hills which add character to the course. It was in good shape considering that it had rained the night before. The greens were in good shape but did not seem to have the same speed from green to green. The bunkers did not have good sand. The character of the layout is an attraction you don't find on many courses in this area. We played the second nine behind a foursome that was very slow with no courtesy to wave us through. A ranger would have been helpful. Overall we enjoyed the round.
willow metro
One of my favorite metroparks. Course was in great shape.
Golf for Fun
Dog Leg holes are tricky. My first time on the course. Fairly long from the white tees if your not long off the tee. If you plan your shots, water is not a problem. Again first time players without knowledge of the course can find trouble. Enjoyable to play, low scores for straight hitters.
