West/North at Tanglewood - The Lion
About
Tanglewood, also known as "The Lion," boasts 27 holes of championship golf, divided into the North, South, and West nines. The holes are played in three different 18-hole combinations. The North/West Course starts with the gentlest nine before moving on to the newest and arguably the most challenging nine. The undulating landscape provides a soft bowl-shape to many of the holes that help to keep errant shots in play by corralling them away from the bordering backyards. Water hazards come into play on seven holes on the West nine and the greens are also guarded heavily by pins. The West's third hole is one of the most memorable holes on the golf course. This tricky par 4 gets progressively more challenging as you move from the wide fairways to the steep and intrusive bunkers that lead to the green.

From Tee to green staff bathrooms very nice
High quality round of golf for a pretty good value
Rip Off
Workers everywhere on the course by the greens. Had to hit approach shots with them working around the greens. No warning at all that the greens were aerated. Even worse it was only the front nine. The back nine was normal. Caused allot of problems with speed control considering the practice green was normal. Golf is hard enough. It becomes impossible when the green speed is drastically different on each 9.
Solid course.
For 50.00 you can’t beat it.
Little traffic in first 9 - but the back was sailing. Course is in good shape.
Good course for women
Not a long course for women and pretty flat easy to score well. I moved to the silver tees.
Good Track
Course in great shape except unrepaired ball marks on the greens. Nice blend of left and right doglegs with varying degree bends.
Farthers Day Foursome
Couples play was fun . Good challenge for all. We played scramble on back 9. Chilln’
Good Track
Good layout in good condition. Could use more variety in the Par 4s. Green true and good shape. Fair roughs - especially compared to other courses in the area
Nice Course
Very nice course but I think you need to see more rangers moving the pace of play along
Very Well Maintained
The course is very well maintained. My only complaint is on some of the holes the house's are to close to the fairway. A slight pull or push an your in someone's yard.
Just loved the layout and the greens were incredible
Highly recommend this course the staff went out of there way to accommodate us and even helped with pointers about the course and possible hazards to be aware of
