Nice course,rough greens
Overall the course is great too play early morning and finish quick, but the greens need a lot of attention
Surprise
The course and pro shop was closed. Called a few times today to find out why and I got the answering machine for the administrative office not the pro shop. I like the course, hope everything is ok.
Terrible greens
Fairways not to bad
Course is way over price
Taking advantage of the northerners
And worst for the locals that support the Course all summer
Good value.still just ok but improving,it that keeps up I may join the course but for now it’s an almost
Getting better
They are really improving this course Excellent Staff the greens are a little long but I like it like that the greens are all green not patchy like some courses in the area!
Working hard to improve.
Nice to see grounds crew working hard to improve the course. Installing more irrigation lines. Greens are not quite there yet, but much improved from last year. Just need a little more TLC and rolled out daily.
Nice course
Excellent course needs a little work on the greens. But nice layout enjoyed playing the course.
Nice open course
First time playing here. For the money ~ $20 a round, it’s awesome. Better maintained than other cheaper courses in the area. If you’re not great, it’s nice and open so you don’t lose a lot of balls. Some spots get really wet if there’s recent rain. Will be playing again. Greens were nice in my novice opinion, just some were squishy from the rain.
Love This Course
Little bit of a drive but I love this course. Beautiful layout and landscape. No one in front of me or behind me. Definitely will be back, hopefully sooner than later.
It's off the beaten path, but worth the trip
I was looking to play a quick morning round before work and found an 8:12 tee time. Since I've played other courses in Lake Wales I thought I had a pretty good idea how long it would take to get down there. Well, this is about 20 miles outside of town, so I was 15 minutes late for my tee time.
But, they got me out on the back nine with three folks who knew the course. In general, the course is flat (it's Florida, no surprise there) and you can see where you need to be hitting, but, it was nice to know when there were creeks crossing the fairway.
Water is mostly lateral, with no forced carries. The bunkers are flat enough you could putt out of many. A couple of doglegs make position off the tee for an approach an important consideration, so course management is required. Fairways are usually generous so you can move the ball according to your shot shape. A lot of invasive grass growing in on the greens, but no dead spots (in spite of our recent drought), and though the greens are slow they are consistent, so you can adjust to them.
I will come back and try the 19th hole at some point. A course worth playing a few more times!
