About
Coyote Preserve Golf Club in Fenton is one of the only courses in the area designed by Arnold Palmer. The course has a hilly terrain that provides plenty of elevation changes a well as stunning views. Tumbling across deep ravines and native wetlands, the layout requires many carries over dramatic depressions and water hazards but many are seemingly intimidating but actually quite reasonable. Massive, finely sculpted bunkers strategically frame the greensides of many holes. While some of them are manageable, others are deep and sod-faced. The tricky hazards in conjunction with the dramatic elevations demand both accuracy and creative shot-making. The golf course has a memorable finish with a par-5, risk-reward hole. There is ample room off the tee on this downhill, dogleg left hole and it presents a few different options for the second shot. With some thought, scoring par is definitely a possibility.

Great Course, Pro shop staff not so much
Pre booked on golf now and to my understanding pre paid as well. Get to course for tee time and go to pro shop to check in. I was then told i owe x amount dollars which i though was pre paid via the app. In the snarkiest of talking down to someone of a tone, the gentleman working that day says check your reservation i know for a fact you didn't you need to show me. I ran across the parking lot to get my phone to check as i didn't want to double pay. I had in fact not paid yet, no big deal. However when i came back in he says ”ahhh see i told you”. If you want to play at a nice course with a semi par rate of play, and rude staff then this is the place for you.
Up north at its best
Had a great time the staff was very friendly and the course was fantastic!! Going back for sure….
Descent shape - some areas could use some work
The course layout is fun and challenging. Winding through trees that backs up to beautiful homes. Each hole has a stoned layout for each hole that we like to see and alot of courses these days do not have these. There are a few spots that could use some work; the sand trap between hole 10 and 11 needs to be cleaned or just wipe 80% of it out because the upkeep on the giant sand trap would be alot, but obviously its not being kept up - fill it in. Some areas just off of the cart path could scrap out the hard dirt and put some soil and grass... One of the last 3 or 4 holes at the tee box looks in rough shape when you pull up because you only see a hard sand beach right next to the hole... Don't let these two minor things think this is a bad course, it is really nice... but i just wanted to say the two things that really caught my eye that could use some attention were those two things. Great track.
Beautiful course
Overall, the course is great. Amazing layout. Cart paths need some work as well as a few bunkers. But other than that the course is immaculate. Great greens and well manicured fairways. Well worth the hr+ drive!
