About
Coyote Preserve Golf Club in Fenton is one of the only courses in the area designed by Arnold Palmer. The course has a hilly terrain that provides plenty of elevation changes a well as stunning views. Tumbling across deep ravines and native wetlands, the layout requires many carries over dramatic depressions and water hazards but many are seemingly intimidating but actually quite reasonable. Massive, finely sculpted bunkers strategically frame the greensides of many holes. While some of them are manageable, others are deep and sod-faced. The tricky hazards in conjunction with the dramatic elevations demand both accuracy and creative shot-making. The golf course has a memorable finish with a par-5, risk-reward hole. There is ample room off the tee on this downhill, dogleg left hole and it presents a few different options for the second shot. With some thought, scoring par is definitely a possibility.

Nice layout
Loved the layout. Every hole interesting and quite a few risk/reward holes. Bunkers were in poor shape, several tee boxes need attention and doesn’t anybody fix divots anymore?
One of the best view around this area.
I like to come back here again. Nice layout with the best views around here.
Beautiful course!
The course is beautiful but challenging. I wouldn't recommend it to someone new to the game.
Slow Greens
Honestly no reason for greens to be that slow in the middle of the summer at a course that's supposed to be, or used to be, high quality.
Course play
Course has beautiful scenery and very well maintained with very nice greens. The layout, however, is definitely geared for 200-220 yd type drives. Fairways aren't terribly narrow, but is very unforgiving for long drives, short out of bounds near fairway. Lots of hazards around the greens. And on this particular day, most greens had the pin near the edge of the green leaving lots of open green. Just know ahead of time, accuracy is name of game. Straight shots and accurate green hits or you'll hurt, not real forgiving for missed shots. But the course is beautiful and cannot emphasize enough how well maintained.
Nice course
Too many slow players stopping to search for golf balls and not keeping pace with golfers ahead. Groups would not let you go thru them and they were not golfing but looking for balls
Also maybe put more gaps between tee off so you don’t have to stand around waiting to play next shot
Course is great and nice challenges to each hole but pace was terrible it took us over 5 hours to play 18
