About
Situated just a few minutes from Muskegon, Stonegate Golf Club in Stone Lake sprawls across gently rolling hills that are surrounded by the beauty of the Manistee National Forest. The undulating terrain provides dramatic elevation changes that can give you a different round every time you play. Although there are residences bordering the golf course, it still feels completely secluded thanks to the sheltering trees and pristine natural setting that is accented with marshes and ponds. The golf course has a variety of greens, most are slightly raised and some are open in front while others have slopes and bunkers protecting them. The putting surfaces roll true with only a few mild undulations. Stonegate's fairways can be tricky since they’re lined with mature pines and hardwoods and more often than not you’ll find one or more bunkers guarding the most opportune landing areas.

Hidden gem
I don't want to say too many good things about this place because I loved having it to myself. Great people that work there. Course was AWESOME!!! At the afternoon weekend rate of $42 it was one of the best golf bargains I've played. Will be back again.....soon.

Beautiful course!
I happened to stumble across this course on a twilight deal and it was awesome. The course is in great shape and it’s a good challenge. Definitely recommend!
Side note: bring fly spray!!! They are horrible here, especially if the conditions are wet.

Very Nice Course Helpful Staff
We had a great day here. Added my partner’s grandson and made the tee times work for all. Cleaned up carts and got us off on time. Love the layout and tee options here. Only wish it was closer to my home!

I love this course
I always have fun playing this course. There is a great mix of iron play and Driver off the tee. Risk reward shots, and the greens are always true and fast. I would recommend this to anyone, the blue tees are tough, high handicappers should play from the white.

Great course
Course is always in great shape and plays great. Never have 2 similar rounds when I play here. It offers a good variety of holes. Love the long 600 yard hole. Its one of a few in the state.

Beautiful course
I only got to play 13 out of 18 holes on the course do to seizures but it was a beautiful golf course and the staff was very helpful and courteous.

Great bang for the buck
To start the staff is friendly and will try their best to accommodate their guests. The course is well maintained and green putt true.

Beautiful in the Fall
This course is within a beautiful forest setting and the colors were starting to appear. It must be beautiful at peak season. We liked how the course was laid out, that each hole had it’s own setting and you rarely saw other p,Ayers. This course was in excellent condition. The only problem we had was knowing where the tee box was located. The markers were either missing or laying on the ground and hard to find. The staff at the course are very accommodating and helpful.
