New Albany Links Golf Club
About
New Albany Links Golf Club sprawls across gently rolling hills covered with meandering creeks, mature trees, and native grasses and wetlands. There are also a number of lakes throughout that come into play on several holes. The golf course is a fair challenge but it prides itself on its playability. With tees ranging between 4,800 and 7,000 yards, the course accommodates a range of different skill levels. The layout features tree-lined fairways and strategically placed bunkers throughout. New Albany Links Golf Club's 12th hole is one of the course's most memorable. It requires a long drive and an approach that carries past a long bunker and a pond to a narrow green. To the left is certain punishment but a tough up and down waits if you miss right.

Really good challenging course
The course was in great shape, greens were fast and rolled well. This course is always a challenge and if your game is off it will be a long day. There are plenty of fairway bunkers to keep your attention off tee and the greens have plenty of undulation as well.
Definitely the toughest course I have played in Columbus.
Great deal
Great deal. Pleased that the course wasn't cart path only. Would have been better if all the equipment was set up such as tee blocks and 150 yard markers.
Sand traps need work!
The course layout is Great and greens are nice but the sand traps are all mud and clay . Ruins the round . I realize its March but they were like that when I played them last July. Add sand and charge more .
Has great T boxes for any level of play
Excellent course. Enjoyed the different T boxes which help out us seniors. For playing golf in March with snow still on the ground, this course was still in great shape.
Winter Rules
The weather was to be more sunny and warm, but we played through wind and a chill. We enjoyed our time together. Too early to use the sand traps, still winter conditions.
Great condition for January
I've played this course many times, but I was surprised how good of shape the course was in during mid-winter. It was almost 50 degrees out and overcast. A little wet, but the fairways were in good shape, greens were in good shape although a little slow , but for the time of year it is expected. Great course!
Very playable even after snow melt down
Course is always in good playable condition with challenging greens. We couldn't pass up a huge discount to play here on a day when the temp went up to 60. Due to melting snow course was still soggy here and there but overall, it was in great condition for thsi time of the year. Top dressing made the putting surface slower than usual but this time of the year, can't really complain about any greens where ball will actually roll.
the course was in very good shape for this time of year
excellent greens- fast and undulating- some pins in very tough spots. sand traps need work- had to rake and place. well worth the money on golf now
Very friendly and couteous.
We were the first group out on the course and struggled on the front side... we started off slow. We let one group play though as soon as we felt it was necessary. We were not hounded by the staff or other golfers (whom were members). The course was in great shape and they where obviously concerned about the shape of the course because they were out working on it, albeit they where not intrusive. Tee boxes where not completely bare from play and actually quite healthy and greens where healthy even though it is later in the season. Absolute no debris on the course, even thought there is construction in the area (new homes being built, lots of wooded areas).
pace of play was torture
Waited forever to tee off on the last 16 holes. Foursome behind us drove into us several times and parked their cart at our tee box on several holes as we teed off.
When I told ranger about slow pace of play, his comment was " we have a lot of people playing today".
Won.'t be going back there anytime soon.
I played three holes and had to leave due to rain. Am I entitled a rain check?
The club pro suggested that I contact GolfNow for a rain check
Nice course
Challenging, but ok for a novice too. Nice maintenance
Of course for late in season
Tricky Course
The place looked great and there are quite a few creatively designed holes that are tricky off the tee. The downside was the greens were aerated recently so the greens weren't a pleasure to play, but I'm anxious to see what they're like under normal conditions. Some of the holes play pretty tight up to houses so an errant shot with a long club is likely to bounce off a roof....
Good spot, I look forward to returning.
Great views, challenging grass and bunkers
Great playability for all levels with 5 different tee boxes, great visuals as you ride the cart path or when you walk to your ball. No real trees to lose your ball in but plenty of long grass and sand to contend with
Tight Course! Makes you think on every tee box!
Second time playing New Albany and I really enjoyed the course. Lost a few more balls than I expected due to the tight fairways, unforgiveness and bad-kicks on a couple of holes. You have to be accurate off the tees here. I used my 3-wood on all pars 4's and 5's. You should leave the driver in the bag or at home! Fun layout and great value for the $25 I paid on golf now.com.. Go play!
Check conditions of the greens before you play
Hadn't played here in several years. Last time out the greens were severely stressed. Asked in the pro shop prior to playing about condition of the greens. We were told all was well. Got to green #1....freshly aerated!!! Would have thought this would have been mentioned when we asked about the greens.
Other than that a great course, plenty of variation, we were first out so pace was not an issue.
very nice greens/ fairways. Fast greens
Well designed and challenging. Played from blue tees. Need to keep drives straight and 2 putting isn't gauarnteed ( true but lots of tricky turns)
good challenging course
Challenging but fun to play. A course guide book or good GPS is a must if you are a first time player of this course. Greens very fast and difficult to read.
good track with some very difficult holes
good course. highly recommend. not an easy course to walk, but it is doable. Some great hols to really challenge your shot making. some seem so simple, but any hole can give some big numbers.
A favorite with a lot of my golfing friends, as well as myself.
Unmaintained sand traps and incorrect yardages on scorecard
This is a good golf course, a real challenge to my wife and me,both 70 year olds. They have moved the gold tees to where the red tees used to be and added a new set of forward tees for the red. This makes it more reasonable for women and seniors, but they they need to change the yardages on the scorecard.
The traps were in terrible shape, a real disappointment for a course of this caliber.
The greens are tough to putt, and some of them were not in very good shape.
We had a bargain with our GolfNow voucher, $22 each.
That's about right for this course.
