New Albany Links Golf Club
About
New Albany Links Golf Club sprawls across gently rolling hills covered with meandering creeks, mature trees, and native grasses and wetlands. There are also a number of lakes throughout that come into play on several holes. The golf course is a fair challenge but it prides itself on its playability. With tees ranging between 4,800 and 7,000 yards, the course accommodates a range of different skill levels. The layout features tree-lined fairways and strategically placed bunkers throughout. New Albany Links Golf Club's 12th hole is one of the course's most memorable. It requires a long drive and an approach that carries past a long bunker and a pond to a narrow green. To the left is certain punishment but a tough up and down waits if you miss right.

Course is in poor shape.
Challenging links course made more difficult due to poor condition.
Gone To Crap
This place has gone to crap, as the review title states. Granted, it’s the end of October, but they wouldn’t even allow people to tee off on the actual tee boxes. We paid $50 and had to tee off from the grass beside or behind every tee box. Par 3’s all played in front of the front tee boxes. Most bunkers were unplayable, fairways were 50/50. Most greens were moldy and not good. Ever since New Era, or whoever the heck owns them now, took over these places just jack the rate up and they’re crap. The state of public golf in Central Ohio is not good. Fingers crossed for the spring and that rates stay below $80 for a round. Doesn’t look promising.
Course in seriously poor condition
Temporary tee boxes due to restoration, however the entire course was in severely poor condition. Temp tee boxes were hard to find. The fairway was more like the rough, and the greens were in terrible condition. I expected more from a golf course in New Albany but that was not the case.
Course is in awful shape
Upon arrival the pro shop let us know they had a few tee off spots not located on an actual Tee Box, unfortunately this was not the case at all. Almost every tee box was somewhere near or even between a tee box which was almost impossible to drive out of in the valley between the tee boxes. The ground was nothing but mud and there was sand everywhere. I have no idea what is going on at New Albany but it is sad to see and even worse to try and play on.
Slippery When Wet
First time playing here. Played it back to back days. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The course was under repair in a few areas. Mostly tee boxes. The greens were nice and decently challenging. It was a very wet and windy weekend, but the course played nicely and I would recommend checking it out.
Bad year for NA Links
This is by far the worst shape I’ve seen the course in the last 8 years that I’ve been playing here. Hopefully they are prepping for a great 2025 because everything was tore up. Tee boxes were uneven and unmoved with possible aeration marks. Fairways were bare in a lot of spots. Greens had some real bad spots too. Slowest greens I’ve played in a long time too.
Poor condition
The conditions of this course keep deteriorating more and more each year. Tee boxes are in terrible shape and the fairways had a lot of bare spots.
Go out of business
I hope they are closing this course. Maybe they sold it. The grass is all gone. They should just close the building, get rid of all staff, and let people go walk and play for free if they want to. Ever since they sold to Kemper sports, four of the six courses look like dead fields. Worse courses I’ve ever seen. I’m a member. Wish I’d known then they would let these courses become cow pastures. I’d like to know what their plans are for the course. Really bad place.
Dead grass everywhere
Course was in badddd condition. This is one of the most expensive courses in Columbus, and it certainly does now show. Layout is cool, greens were aerated, fairways had patches of hard dead grass everywhere and the tee boxes where a mess.
Terrible course conditions
Course management should be fired for what they have done to this course. Sand traps reduced and filled with dirt. Used to be a great course. Sad to see rates charged and no money being put back into the course.
Just a matter of time before no golfers show and you go out or business.
