New Albany Links Golf Club
About
New Albany Links Golf Club sprawls across gently rolling hills covered with meandering creeks, mature trees, and native grasses and wetlands. There are also a number of lakes throughout that come into play on several holes. The golf course is a fair challenge but it prides itself on its playability. With tees ranging between 4,800 and 7,000 yards, the course accommodates a range of different skill levels. The layout features tree-lined fairways and strategically placed bunkers throughout. New Albany Links Golf Club's 12th hole is one of the course's most memorable. It requires a long drive and an approach that carries past a long bunker and a pond to a narrow green. To the left is certain punishment but a tough up and down waits if you miss right.

Surprising disappointment!
When we checked in the pro shop wired us that the course was a little rough because of a sprinkler system issue. We should have headed his warning because the course had areas where grass was missing or covered in Goose excrement. I advise to spend your money and afternoon elsewhere.
Price Needs to Meet Conditions
Played this course on a Hot Deal, and wanted to try a "Nicer" course in the area, given that this place is normally $75, I figured it would meet my expectations. Saying it's in rough shape is an understatement, the greens and fairways are dead, parts of the course are soupy which doesn't make any sense. It was overall a horrible playing condition, price should be $50 cheaper per round. My advice is to play a CBUS public course, you'll get much better value.
Horrible condition, overpriced and a waste of $
Greens are diseased, as well as fairways and tee boxes. The rough is like a bad back yard and this course has fallen completely by the wayside.
No longer worth more than $35-40 and for what they want to charge it should be a complete “stay away”.
Won’t be back…
Place has really gone downhill
I’ve played here like 8 times. Recently it’s in terrible shape. The tee boxes and all messed up, the fairways look like a war zone, and the greens are half brown and aren’t even level. Really a shame. I pay half the price to golf elsewhere for a course that’s in better shape.
New Management is Terrible
I used to enjoy coming this course. It had been over a year since I had played here, and I am afraid I will never be returning.
The new Management group is awful. I have never seen the course in worse shape. The driving range is closed, practice green sucks, tee boxes look horrible, greens are bumpy, bunkers are rocks, we teed off 20 minutes after our scheduled time. Oh, and it is $85 to play now.
I'll be driving further out of Columbus to play now. T
New Albany Links Condition
The course is a good course but in very rough condition. Burned out greens and fairways. Rock hard rough. Apparently the watering system broke and it 3 or 4 weeks to fix. Sad but I would not pay more than $30 to play it right now.
Course condition
Course condition was poor. Tons of missing grass. Staff was friendly but other members of the course seemed grumpy and as a single player, I felt rushed.
It’s like they stopped taking care of it
This course has a great layout and has been in excellent condition in the past but I played earlier this year and then again today and it’s almost like they don’t have a greens crew. The greens and fairways are burnt up all over the place, the rough isn’t cared for, the guy working the pro shop didn’t even acknowledge me standing there until he got done reading whatever was on his phone and then said “have fun, not sure what position the pins are today but you’ll figure it out.” For the amount of money you have to pay to play it’s not worth it.
Wonderful layout, terrible conditions, wasted potential
Absolutely loved the design and layout. Some really interesting and picturesque holes.
BUT: It’s just in awful shape. Greens have multiple diseased or bare spots, the fairways similar with lots of burned out areas. The tee boxes in very rough shape and very hard. More than a couple had been scalped by the mower plus it looks like the mowers aren’t aligned or sharpened properly. Cuts are extremely uneven. The traps were lacking sand and were packed down solid line they hadn’t been groomed in a long time. Oddly, we found ONE trap that was actually in pretty good shape and had a decent enough amount of soft sand that you could actually play a normal bunker shot out of it. The rest we experienced you had to chip out like off hard pan.
It was frustrating because this course has so much potential and I bet was great at one time. We won’t return until we hear the course is vastly improved.
New Albany Links
All greens and most fairways were in great shape. Some tee boxes had heat stressed brown patches but they are working on restoring them. Overall a great golf course, challenging yet fun to play.
Course not watered burn out
Course was not watered resulting in burned out greens and fairways. Was not worth $81 for a course in that condition
Glad I got a hot deal
Course was in okay shape. They had punched greens but that didn't effect it much. Many of the greens were diseased but still rolled well. Tee boxes were pretty beat up, some of them unlevel in spots. Some hard as a rock. Course overall was in good shape apart from that. I was a single and got stuck behind 3 foursomes of older gentlemen. They paced okay, didn't offer for me to play through which is whatever, there was no ranger out to keep things moving.
