Rocky Lakes Golf Course
About
Rocky Lakes Golf Course in Springfield is like playing two courses in one. The shorter front nine is wide-open, offering a gentle start before moving on to the more slightly more demanding, par-36 back nine. Mature trees and water hazards come into play on the back as well as the occasional bunker. It is not a difficult layout by any means, but there are a few challenges in store. Overall the golf course is very player friendly, making it best for beginners as well as junior golfers. Intermediate and more advanced players will be disappointed if they are looking for a course that will test their skills, but the affordable rates make Rocky Lakes Golf Course a good option for a quick game where you can get a little practice.

Low stress play
Nothing fancy here. Several of the holes are back and forth muni style. A few of the holes have character. The greens were in great shape. Lady at the desk was friendly. Didn't eat or drink so can't speak on that. Great course if you working on something or hitting straight off the tee is an issue for you. Though I wouldn't go out of my way, I would play it again.
Rocky Lakes
Course was very busy so pace of play was slow. Course rough is very thick, lost a lot of balls, and when you did find one it holds it very well. So if you’re going to play here, stay in the fairway.
Rocky Lakes Golf Course
My 2 friends and I played May 19, 2025 at 11:00. The course was a little wet but in good shape. It’s a little tougher than you think little creeks to carry to the greens. Would highly recommend this course when it’s drier
Solid Value
Nice course, good value, not overbooked like so many.
Excellent Course for the Money

Rocky Lakes Golf Course
My friend Fred and I played Rocky Lakes GC 10/16/24 at 11:00.. The course was in great shape. The rough was high, the greens recently aerated, but overall in great condition. Would recommend this course. The back 9 is more challenging. Thank the staff and restaurant for outstanding service.
Beautifully Dry
Course was dry due to drought conditions, but it's a short, but challenging course that has a lot of discreet hazards. It's harder than it looks.
Rocky Lakes
The fairways were pretty much all, I think it's called watergrass, maybe. But it's a pretty good layout, some surprisingly nice holes. It was actually a fun day. Good bloody Mary's at the bar. I would recommend for anyone who just wants an affordable course to practice their skills on. Good value for the money.
