About
Highlands Ridge offers 36 holes of championship golf, which form the centerpiece of the upscale residential community. It's one central Florida's most popular golf destinations. The courses, the North and the South, share the same scenic landscape but they provide very different rounds. The North Course is known for its outstanding conditions. The designer, Dave Harman, modeled the course after Kauri Cliffs in New Zealand, which was recognized as the Best New International Course in 2011 by Golf Digest. The layout is not as challenging as the South Course, making it more appealing for beginners. Water hazards come into play on a few holes and there are some strategically placed bunkers to contend with. There is also rough along the fairways and greensides that can be particularly punishing.

Great design
I have played this course off and on since the day it opened. I'm sorry to say I am really disappointed in the overall condition. They have gone from the nicest in the county to just average. Hope they can recover...
Nice open course
Nice open course. Not busy, so there wasn't anyone rushing us. Out in middle of no where though.
Wish it wasn't as far away so I could play in more often
This is a great design, every hole has a challenge.
The condition of the course is very good almost pristine.
If it wasn't an hour an a half away I would play it every week.
Invasive grasses a concern
This is a wonderful design with a very good combination of tight and open holes. I play here as often as I can... I'm concerned with the amount of invasive grasses that are taking over; heavy clumps make it near impossible to play a good shot in the fairways... The Greens are in good shape with good pace. Sand traps need to be turned and possibly sand added. Due to time of play we were almost all alone on the course... Ice machine at club house makes refreshment easy...Teri in the grillroom is one of the best.. She will make your dining experience a pleasure. A Very quiet serene course...GO PLAY!!!!

Very nice
I've played this course several times in the last ten years and have never been disappointed with the fairways, greens or quality and price at the restaurant. The fairways and greens are definitely some of the best kept that I've ever seen and even though it's and hour drive for me. I'll continue to play there for many years to come.
Great day
The course was in great condition and despite the 95 degree temp when we finished it was enjoyable. 8 inch eagle on the last hole did not hurt my opinion. overall i recomend this course to anyone visiting the area and to those who live anywhere near. about 40 mile drive for me.

Beautifully laid out almost resort quality course.
12:30 tee time. Course almost pristine. Fairways well carpeted. Roughs lush but not high; easy to spot balls in. Greens rolling true & fast. Beautifully laid out. Battery powered carts w/ windshields & rain cover in back. Will definitely play again.

Very nice course
Nice course, not many homes on the course maybe 3 holes, must of the time you can't see the other holes. Greens were super fast. Layout was a nice mix of holes, would stop and play this again .
Best course in the Sebring area
This is my favorite course in the area. It is always in good condition, and the greens are moderately fast. There is a nice variety of hole layouts. The white tees at 6122 yards provide a playable challenge for a mid-teens handicapper.

Helpful and friendly staff. Nice course layout. Interesting and varied golf holes. Greens were bumpy and several were in poor shape. Tees were in good shape. Most fairways were also in good shape. Bunker sand was inconsistent. Pace of play was a little slow.
course was very challenging
great layout ,extremely challenging a good mix of difficult and easy holes. Pace of play was a bit slow, but to be expected at this time of the year. A real jewel in the middle of nowhere.

best i have been to in florida
looks busy before tee off, Then seems that your just with your group after first hole.Holes are not overlapping at all.Fairways and tee boxes are very good,Greens are big & somewhat fast,Just realized theres a lot of sand as i was in it all day.Been there 3 times paid 23 dollars through golf now this time while others paid 36.00 at desk..It would be worth the regular price. Its 35 min from me but hope to play again
Best course in Highlands area
Of all the courses in our area of Sebring/Avon Park, this is the best course to play. Great greens and challenging layout, without being impossible.
