About what you’d expect
It was my birthday, so I HAD to play golf while traveling. The course was ok, about what you might expect for a course in a small town in the middle of nowhere. Tees and fairways were a little tattered but playable. Greens were ok ish, with some thin spots on every green. Not the worst I’ve played, but next time I’ll take the hour drive to Ocala.
Love Chiefland
Some greens need a little love and we had 2 slow groups in front of us. Usually moves along pretty well. Love this course for the money. Bonus its only $10 to play an extra nine holes!

Course is in great condition even with the amount of use it gets.

Odd ruling
Booked a 9:40 tee time and we were told to start on hole 10. We go to hole 10 and there are 2 foursomes in front of us. As we wait more groups that started on the front nine show up and the staff comes out and tells us they have to play thru. Backing us up for a couple more slots. With only a twosome on hole 1 we asked to start on hole 1 but were told no. Very strange. Getting busy on this course so I guess we will have to look elsewhere or tee off earlier.
Slow pace
I've played at a lot of courses and never seen as many single players allowed at one time. There was 3 singles lined one right after another behind us. Probably should have put those 3 singles together.
Also ahead of us was a group of 6. I understand that's ok when it's not crowded and I'm all for it. But at 9 o'clock on a tournament morning not very courteous.
Like this course
Nice course. A few of the greens need some work but overall a fun track. Can't beat the $10 replay for nine holes either!

Nice course all around. A couple of greens were spotty but all things considered good shape. Nice cheap price using GolfNow and only $10 to replay 9 holes!

Course was great, rye grass really coming in. Staff is excellent, Diana is always very courteous and works hard to keep the pace going. Would highly recommend this golf course!
