About
Located just minutes from the beach, the conveniently situated Clearwater Country Club sprawls across a coastal landscape of Spanish moss-draped trees and towering, mature oaks. Stevenson Creek meanders through the golf course, coming into play on six holes. Built in 1920, the layout has a traditional design that is challenging but fair. The course is tight but it plays long, especially on the par 5s. The rolling fairways are well manicured and the greens play at medium speed and are consistently well maintained. Clearwater C.C. actually has a reputation amongst locals for its superb conditions. It is also popular with visitors, snowbirds specifically, since the club offers the area's only seasonal and short-season membership with exclusive privileges. It is also one of the few clubs in the area that allows walking.

Loved Clearwater Country Club
We had a fantastic time today playing Clearwater CC. We finished the round in just over 4 hours. The greens were in fantastic shape. All of the staff that we encountered were very nice. I highly recommend the course. It’s a great value for your money. We will definitely play again the next time we come down for Phillies spring training.
Will play again
Front 9 plays slow. Marshall kindly explained it was because of the layout and abundance of water hazards on consecutive holes. Play sped up after that.
Tee boxes and fairways in good condition.
Windy day at the course
Very nice course, however the fairways were dry and losing grass
Course in great shape
Would have rate it higher if the grill was open and there was a cart girl considering it was on a Sunday
Great greens
Its a municipal course that is in good shape . Its a lot of fun for the average golfer. I have been there 3 times . I saw John Daly there twice. If he likes it it has to be good.
Slow
Old school course - strategy more important than length off the tee. Really enjoyable layout though some holes a bit quirky where too much off the tee can lead to run-offs into creeks etc. overall course in good condition with lots of grass on fairways and greens putting smoothly. Biggest negative was pace of play with our game taking about 5 hours. Seemed way too many players - think they should reduce the number of tee times by making them at least 10 minute gaps.
Small but fun
Really small course. Fairways are really tight.. greens are nice.. if you go a little right on a few holes you end up down the road.. fun but small
Un kept around the green, could be cleaner. Some areas you couldn’t tell if you were in a bunker or rough
Nice old course
Nice old country club course, conditions are decent, I played early so no issue with speed… less than 4 hours.
Average
It took us 5 hours to finish our round primarily because the course allowed several fivesomes on the course. We saw at least 3 fivesomes ahead of us. Will think hard before returning.
