Clearwater Country Club

This course is poorly designed. There is one hole that 5 groups were on. If it is not busy the course I would be ok. Easy course. I would not play it during tourist season.

One of the best courses on the St Pete peninsula. The course is well maintained and is reasonably priced for the area. Plus as a bonus, you might see John Daly, who regularly golf's there.l

Greens are fair. The group ahead of us was 6 players in 5 carts. So the pace was slow. Greens and tee boxes in some areas are almost on top each other. Not worth the cost.

Play behind a couple of 5 so we wait on every hole.

Smal hilly greens but in good condition. Fairways on last 9 do need some work but overall a nice course, will be back.

Took us an hour plus to play three short par 4 holes, two foursomes ahead of us as we got to 4, we bailed. They did give us a rain check to try again.

Overall not good. Not enough carts so it’s like haggling with the starter to get a cart. Pace of play was horrible. Over 3 hours to play nine holes on a simple layout. Groups get stacked because of the lack of carts so you end up with 4 groups on the same hole. Quality of fairways and greens were poor at best. This course needs lots of work. The only highlight was seeing John Daly sitting on the patio at the end of our round when we returned to a locked and dark clubhouse at only 6:00om.

Nice course. The day I played was so slow 2 groups in front of us quit after 4 holes! It moved faster on back but still took over 5 hours for the 2 of us.

It has been a few years since we enjoyed Clearwater's course. We enjoyed our round very much, but the biggest surprise was the drive on the 18th hole..... The trees were opened up and the green could be seen..... and targeted! It was a magnificent view. There remained a challenge but 18 has never looked so good! If you haven't been at Clearwater CC in a while....... you just have to see it for yourself!,,,,, and ENJOY all Clearwater has to offer!

Called ahead of time to ensure they had a decent left set as my dad is a lefty and having a decent set of clubs is a big deal to try and play a round. Guy told me they had 5 decent sets and he would have the choice. Told me “no need to reserve” lefty clubs will be here. Paid 28$ for a rental set that looked about 20 years old. Half the clubs were dented and overly used. Told those were the best available and that we couldn’t go back and look. Tried asking the pro shop since I called the day before. Guy gives me a shoddy answer, doesn’t apologize for the inconvenience and says all rental sets are the same price. What’s the point of calling and asking about clubs if you show up and they give you awful clubs. I don’t plan on paying 250+ for three golfers and a rental set, just to sit and wait on every hole and play with an awful set. I’ll take my money elsewhere. At least next time be honest about the rental sets you have

We played a few days ago and it was fine, but this round was crazy slow. With some of the tee times at 7 minute intervals how could it be otherwise? Almost 3 hours for the front included a long delay to stay

It was your typical hundred year old golf course the layout was kind of nice but a little pricey for what it was compared to other golf courses in the area the staff is super friendly and very crowded as it was the pace of play it was excellent

I was refunded my greens fees as there were not enough golf carts for all of the golfers they booked. After waiting 2 hours I asked for a refund and was granted it. I lost 6 dollars through golf now but I'm not worried about it!
