Clearwater Country Club
About
Located just minutes from the beach, the conveniently situated Clearwater Country Club sprawls across a coastal landscape of Spanish moss-draped trees and towering, mature oaks. Stevenson Creek meanders through the golf course, coming into play on six holes. Built in 1920, the layout has a traditional design that is challenging but fair. The course is tight but it plays long, especially on the par 5s. The rolling fairways are well manicured and the greens play at medium speed and are consistently well maintained. Clearwater C.C. actually has a reputation amongst locals for its superb conditions. It is also popular with visitors, snowbirds specifically, since the club offers the area's only seasonal and short-season membership with exclusive privileges. It is also one of the few clubs in the area that allows walking.

Nice Local Golf Club
This was our second experience at CCC . Its a pretty course, nice people . The only thing that could use a little attention was the tee boxes. The most popular tee boxes were in rough shape. The red tees were way too short for ladies or seniors. Other than that we enjoyed our 18 holes. There were a few challenging fairways with water and greens rolled fast. All good n all we had a very nice time. I would recommend this course as a nice place to play. .
Totally Unprofessional
Would recommend if not following John Daly “sixsome”. Also why is someone allowed on course with a tee shirt and swim trunks? Also why was he allowed to practically drive on to the green. Just because he’s a has been golf “pro” ? I saw him playing with the owner…. Double standards not okay.
Okay course, pace slow
The course was in good shape and the starter was friendly, although the pace of play was rather slow with sometimes 3 groups on the same hole. The layout was fine but not memorable. I would play it again when in Clearwater Beach because there isn’t a lot of options near the beach.
nice day, average public course
Course needs TLC.
oh, and the greens are SLOW.
It is well run for set- up. Good starter.
Crowded Dirt Track
Too many groups, so much cross traffic on course I has PTSD after nine holes.
So darn slow
This course is poorly designed. There is one hole that 5 groups were on. If it is not busy the course I would be ok. Easy course. I would not play it during tourist season.
Great course
One of the best courses on the St Pete peninsula. The course is well maintained and is reasonably priced for the area. Plus as a bonus, you might see John Daly, who regularly golf's there.l
Needs some tlc
Greens are fair. The group ahead of us was 6 players in 5 carts. So the pace was slow. Greens and tee boxes in some areas are almost on top each other. Not worth the cost.
Nice course
Play behind a couple of 5 so we wait on every hole.
Smal hilly greens but in good condition. Fairways on last 9 do need some work but overall a nice course, will be back.
Ridiculously backed up
Took us an hour plus to play three short par 4 holes, two foursomes ahead of us as we got to 4, we bailed. They did give us a rain check to try again.
Bad Experience
Overall not good. Not enough carts so it’s like haggling with the starter to get a cart. Pace of play was horrible. Over 3 hours to play nine holes on a simple layout. Groups get stacked because of the lack of carts so you end up with 4 groups on the same hole. Quality of fairways and greens were poor at best. This course needs lots of work. The only highlight was seeing John Daly sitting on the patio at the end of our round when we returned to a locked and dark clubhouse at only 6:00om.
