The Chi Chi Rodriguez Golf Club, centrally located on McMullen Booth Road a comparably short course, offering just 5,454 yards from the blue tees and a slope rating of 118. Most of the fairways are wide, making errant shots still playable. In essence, it is the ideal place to work on your golf game, to correct that nasty slice or learn to hit that oversized driver without fear of losing 100 balls. As a result, it is a favorite among novice golfers who want to be challenged but also have an enjoyable round.

Commitment to Excellence!
As per my last review, 5 stars!! It was 2 days post Chi Chi tourney; course was in great condition! Greens were fast (wish the practice green was just ad fast). Starter (Steve) was very professional & seemed that he "wanted" to be there (this is an anomaly unfortunately).
Couple opportunities:
1) When I checked in for my 12:12 t-time, I was immediately told that he couldn't check me in (I stated this upfront). He glanced at the clock and said he could only check me in at 1130 (it was 1030 at the time). This seemed a little weird (40 mins prior to t-time). No other engagement after that (no one else in pro shop). I told him that I had a lot of work to do on my game (trying to lighten the engagement, but no response). NOTE: after some time chipping, putting and hitting into the screen, I walked back in at 1110, to see if I could get a cart (different attendant) & no problem - gave me the key and off I went...
2) Ranger on the course could have been a little more attentive, as another group was waiting what seemed for about 10 mins to t-off. The ranger was close to their t-box and heavily engaged w his phone. One of the members waiting, went over and had to ask for help... seemed that the ranger could have been more aware...
Again, great experience and will definitely be back!!
Nice course, friendly staff
We've golfed this course multiple times over the years and this year did not disappoint. Course in excellent shape with fast greens and the staff was friendly as usual. I especially like that a portion of the proceeds goes to the school.
Saturday at Chi Chi's
We had enjoyable time... paired up with a really nice couple who split their time between Pittsburgh and Clearwater. We do the same between West Michigan and St. Pete. Play was a bit slow, since it was cart-path-only, due to the effects of Hurricane Nicole. But we all had a good time. Really like that course... wish it were closer to St. Pete!
Slow dangerous
Slow dangerousVery tight and very narrow. Often times you are being hit at from the hall next to you. Although the staff was friendly, a long delay at the start of the round, 30 minute wait. Not worth the money play somewhere else.
Greens are great
The course was in good condition and the greens were in great shape and speed was good as well. The course was a challenge as always especially on a windy day

We are playing there first time.Golf course conditions was very good.Nice and friendly staff.We are playing 18- holes in 3 1/2 hrs.We will back again!!!
Chi Chi
Course is in good- excellant shape, Greens are good moderate- fast and running well. We musta hit it a a super busy day every hole was backed up, its my only complaint. We like playing here.
