THE COURSE AND PEOPLE INVOLVED WERE GOOD TO EXCELLENT. I HAVE PLAYED HERE MANNY TIMES AND WILL BE BACK.

Seems like greens had recently been aerated, they were a bit bumpy. Two holes still had temporary greens which made the holes short and of course you could not really putt on them.

Overall a very nice course when the greens are in good repair.

I'm an old guy (65 in Dec), not the best golfer in the world (12.1 index), and I don't do five stars often. In fact, if I have, it could only have been a time or two. I definitely don't do five stars for a course that has two temporary greens and another couple greens with obvious recent repair jobs. Add that to some fuzzy tee boxes, and I'm asking myself, "How can you give this facility five stars?" Well, I value interesting and different layouts with a variety of features that make the track different from others, and Magnolia Landings is definitely that!

The staff was friendly and accommodating, and the practice facility, which I didn't get to utilize yesterday, seems to be more than adequate. But the thing that makes this course special to me is the design and the variety of the bird life.

It's a course I hadn't played in years, and with my senior decline, I didn't remember it at all. All I remembered was that I really liked this track, and that memory was on point. Other than being in a gated community, this track is one of my all-time favorites...and as noted above, it wasn't even in tip-top shape yesterday. It's a course that requires some local knowledge and better use of a rangefinder than I managed yesterday because there are some blind tee-shots, interesting angles off the tee, water on all but two holes, and neatly mounded fairways and great bunkering. The greens range from small to large with subtle undulations and rolled well.

I'm not doing this course justice here, but I'll probably expand and do another review with photos after Friday's upcoming round. Despite some rain early in the round, and the other issues I mentioned above, it was a joy to play, even if it beat me up. There aren't too many times that I thoroughly enjoy shooting 93, but this layout is so delightful, and my beloved was along for the ride, that I booked another round for Friday. This time I intend to warm-up and play as I intend to play in Myrtle Beach next week. With a bit more course knowledge, and better club selection as a result, even if I don't putt any better than I did yesterday I imagine I'm going lower than I did yesterday.

When Magnolia gets past the weather struggles it has apparently been suffering, you're not going to find a better course to play in the area. Being an old-timer, I played from the green tees, and granted, I didn't hit the ball great, but even the green tees present challenges. I can only imagine what it plays like from the tips! If you're looking for the standard "just get up there and hit the ball and you'll likely be ok," sort of track, Magnolia Landings isn't it. If you want to really golf your ball, this is the place for you.

I truly love playing this course, my course review is honest and from the heart..They have at present a couple of temporary greens which looks like something you would do in your back yard fir your kids..Im sure that eventually this will be resolved..Other than that other than the usual affects after aeration, which it's about 90% back to normal already, I really enjoy playing this course and the entire staff is super friendly and professional..

I've played a ton of golf courses in Southwest Florida and elsewhere (368 in my Golfshot app and that's not total courses played) and this is one of the most alluring of them all! Given the weather we've had, it wasn't surprising to find some issues with the course, but the layout is challenging and novel. Some tight fairways, some blind landing areas, well bunkered, water on all but two holes (though it doesn't always come into play), an assortment of birds, mounded fairways, and a few greens with a bit of undulation and different levels. I hadn't played it in years and it beat me up from the green tees, but that was a combination of lack of course knowledge leading to poor club choice, poor shots, and zero putting. I'm going back in Friday with more course knowledge and I'm determined not to lose 8 balls or score 93! Had to deal with two temporary "greens" and a couple others had some patch work. The pins were placed so the patchwork didn't come into play for me. The grass was a bit long on the tee boxes, but not really an issue; I've seen much worse. The staff was very congenial and helpful. Great place to golf even if not in the best of shape right now. With my GolfNow hot deal, it was $30 to play and $20 for my beloved to ride along. Not thrilled about the rider fee, but just about every course is charging a rider fee these days. I sure miss those days when she could ride along without charge. Oh well...

I moved from Florida to North Carolina, Great courses up there, but whenever I come back, I make it a point to golf @ Magnolia. The employees are so friendly and helpful. The course is always being worked on to make it in the best shape possible. Extremely hot today, the beverage cart made the rounds several times. Recommend highly. “Pets” are welcome too 🤣

Course had temporary greens and other greens were just aerated. Temporary greens should have been disclosed, as well as recent aeration. Golf Now doesn’t provide any contact info for refund.

Other than the two temporary greens that we were told prior to going, the course was in very good condition. We moved along well and played 18 holes in about three hours.

Very wet after swfl rain the day before.. most bunkers were unplayable, even lost a ball in a flooded one!!! Lol... other than the 2 temp green, still love this layout...

Course condition is good but I it was in better shape a few years ago when I played. Staff is friendly and facilities are nice.

We have played this course a few times before and it’s one of the most forgiving courses I’ve played on. We knew about the 2 temporary greens before we played but they was a few more greens that was having work done which was a little disappointing. Tee boxes and fairways were great and the greens were responsive. Great cart girl friendly and funny over all it was a good day.

A few holes are being worked on, but overall a really nice course. Looking forward to my next round there.

This course was not in good condition, there were 2 temporary greens which were both crap! 3 greens had ground under repair. Don’t waste you’re time and money, oh and it took 5

Hours to play!

This was a nice course. They were doing some upgrades but told us about them and they tried to help. The facility was very nice. On hot hot days May need to provide a few more water stations.

Had a few temporary greens. Grass on tee boxes about an inch long. Fairways were decent. Clubhouse much nicer than course. Second time playing here. Won’t play again.
