Showing the Wear
We've played Magnolia many times in the Fall & Winter over the years. Love the layout , friendly staff. Amazing to see the growth and building around the course since we first played.
Only been out to a couple of courses locally recently but Magnolia showed the effects of the lack of rain more than others so far, especially the conditions on many of the greens.
With no rain imminent, the staff will be hard pressed I think to fix the conditions. With the seasonal change in rates I have to say compared to my past visits, not a $75+ golf course right now

A little dry.
First time playing this course, and it was a good challenge. It seemed like anytime you missed the fairway it didn't take much to find the water.
The course conditions seemed extremely dry. There were a bunch of areas that they had sandmix down to fix bare spots both on the fairways and green. However putts roll pretty true on the greens. Maybe this is the wrong season .

Gordon Lewis layout
Typical Gordon Lewis layout in a gated community. A little more forgiving than some other Lewis designs I’ve played, but still calls for good shot placement. Plenty of water to grab errant shots, but houses aren’t too close to be much of a problem (for my playing partners, not me of course!). Nice practice area, beautiful clubhouse, friendly staff. Only complaint would be firm, water-packed bunkers on several holes. I’ll be back. Thanks for a nice day.

Nice Track
Fun course to play - would help to have some previous knowledge based on layout. Quite windy which made some of the target golf holes even a bit more challenging. Will make the trip back !
