A short par-4, the fourth demands a straight drive and accurate pitch into its elevated green. It may be the prettiest hole on the course. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 03/15/2026

Five is an open and straightforward par-4, though water threatens slicers on its right side. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 03/15/2026

This boomerang-shaped pond, seen from its left flank, helps to define the strategic focus of the sixth. The sixth green lies beyond. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 03/15/2026

Eight features a watery cross-hazard situated some fifty yards before its green. Favor the right side on your drive. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 03/15/2026

The ninth, a mid-length par-3, will test your skill with an iron. This view is from the green’s right side. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 03/15/2026

At the sixth, the shortest of the par-4s, it may be best to approach from the fairway’s left side, where the large frontal bunker will not be a factor. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 02/22/2026

Seven is a short but solid par-5 that runs 460 yards. This shot provides a look at the fairway’s approach to the green. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 02/22/2026

The second shot at green eight must fly this cross hazard—which likely swallows many a Titleist. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 02/22/2026

The tee shot at the closing hole—a par three of 147—needs to be an accurate one to avoid the greenside bunkers. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 02/22/2026
Worth doing again...
A course a friend mentioned that I had not seen on Golf Now previously. The course is short (only 5000 yds from the back tees), but many of the fairways are tight, with water along either or both sides. There are several holes where you will lay up and then hit across water into the greens. Not much of the bunkering is on the line of play but if you are left, right, or long it can be an issue. Greens and fairways were in good condition generally. A few rough spots on some greens near edges but that didn't seem to interfere with putting to the hole positions.
Make the effort and enjoy.
Simply a great course in great condition and great value, in the words of you know who 'Just Do It'.
Hidden gem.
This course is a 'hidden gem' well worth the extra few miles drive, the course is well laid out, well maintained with par 3's, 4's and 5's, the greens were excellent (some like velvet) there was plenty of wildlife to see whilst out and about on the course Gators, Turtles, Birds and an Otter, it was incredible, best value for money during our 2 weeks - by far. Take plenty of balls as there's plenty of water.
Great shape & layout
Visited Cypress Greens, a nine hole active adult layout in Lake Alfred, Polk County. Much to our surprise it was in awesome shape with plush greens, good fairways, sandy traps, and clean waterways. If there is one thing I would advise them to fix is the 3rd tee box for the white & blue tees which needs flattening. There are 3 -3s which ads up to a par 35 and a great selection of challenging holes that we really enjoyed. If time is a factor in choosing a game, this is the perfect place to play in less than 2 hours or pay an additional fee and go back out and do it again,- you won't be disappointed.
Very Nice 9 holes
We enjoyed playing here, interesting holes, great wildlife and the course is in good condition. We plan to play here again
Good 9 Holes
Scenic with great wild life! Interesting course in good condition, with some challenging holes. Very good value and will play there again soon
Course is in good shape and is tight.
I will play it again, even though it is only a 9 hole course.
Course has a wide deversity so you can use almost any of your clubs
Well cared course. Greens in great shape. Rangers and club house attendants very friendly and helpful.
Tees are nice to average. Fairways are average, and greens are pretty well maintained.
My review of the course is that the staff is nice and friendly. The eguipment is in good shape. From tee to green the course is very fun and playable. A little tight in some areas. Great course to work on your iron shots and learn ball control.
Off the beaten path but a cute little course
Too much water in play and veryeasy to loose balls as the cart paths sort of follow the water and if your ball hits the path it will probably go in the drink. Couse was maintained well and the greens were challenging with the pin placements.
Course needed work on greens and fairways.
Played 9 holes with wife. The greens were sanded and one green was not even used, had a temporary hole set in fairway. Good place if you just want to smack the ball around.
