Cypress Lakes Golf Club
About
Carved from pine, oak, and magnolia trees, Cypress Lakes Golf Club tumbles through gently hilly terrain, a rare landscape for a Florida course. Formerly known as the Solutia Golf Club, Cypress Lakes is also covered with hundreds of crepe myrtles and blooming azaleas and of course, cypress trees. Water comes into play on a few holes and the trees can prove to be tricky but the challenges of the golf course are balanced with the generous width of the fairways. The course's playability appeals to a variety of different skill levels, especially with four sets of tees available as well. In addition to the course, there are also extensive practice facilities available at Cypress Lakes Golf Club including an all-grass driving range, a practice putting green, and a practice bunker.

Good scoring course
Course was in fairly good shape, greens were in real good condition. One of them courses you can score well on, of run up a high number.
course is very challenging.
Cypres Is One Of My Favorite Courses To Play In this Area, Its Fairways And Greens Are Always In Good Condition.
This course is very pretty, but the greens are wild and hard to read.
Look at review summary. It explains everything I have to say.
Greens are fast and challenging.
I always enjoy playing this course. Bunker locations are great too.
Course on very good shape.
Super deal to play a course of this caliber? Course is very well maintained and carts are in excellent condition.
issues
This course needs to spend some money on yardage markers and a few more water coolers on the course. Other than that is was a nice course.
Nice change from flat courses......
Good challenge and old style Bermuda greens. Excellent value and worth the drive from Midway area.
Scenic challenge
A very hilly course where most local courses are fairly flat. The greens had been recently aerated and were very slow but rolled true.
The nicest thing about this course is the scenery. You get a great view of the central lake from many different angles.
Glad I tried it.
Very pleasantly surprised by course conditions. Will certainly play again soon.
Maintained course, lots of elevation changes.
I chose this course because it was the only Florida course to host a US Open. Judging from the layout and condition from the course, I am thinking that was back in the 1940's or 50's. The course was kept in decent, playable condition. The greens were pretty good, a little quicker than one would expect. The layout had quite a few elevation changes and a handful of blind shots. While not the toughest course out there, the layout provided enough risk/ reward to satisfy most advanced players while remaining solidly playable for the higher handicapper.
A great course.
This is a great course for the money. We enjoy this course and would recommend it.
Great course for a great price.
This is the first time I played this course and I enjoyed it immensely. The course is challenging but a lot of fun. The greens were well maintained and with true rolls. Lots of elevated greens and well maintained tees. Staff was very friendly. This is a great course to walk.
