Almost, but not quite....
Just one of those odd days when you play - and we've all had them - when you just don't 'connect' with a course.
From the outset, the place just has a bit of a 'run-down' vibe
I always check on GolfNow to make sure there's a range, before I book. GN says there is, but there isn't, just a rather dilapidated hitting net (but it did have a nice chipping, bunker and putting practice area)
Good value for money, and everyone was friendly, but....
The greens were inconsistent - not bad as such, but the speed varied a lot from green to green. I'm usually a good reader of a green, but I'm sure I had 3 or 4 puts that rolled 'uphill' (my fault I know, not the course's, but just annoying)
I'm not a huge fan of Bermuda grass everywhere on a course, and it certainly made for some iffy lies if you were off the fairway (I know, I know...'then don't miss the fairway' !!). Some lies were firm and true, but a lot of bare areas, and some very fluffy rough too. Inconsistent (again) I guess.
Overall, I just felt disappointed at the course. There were some nice holes, pace of play was great (done in 3 hours), but just a little run down everywhere - needs some love !
The conditions at Meadow Oaks are always good.....nice firm fast greens with wide nicely mowed fairways....not too much water or sand, but just enough to get your attention......love playing there.....
A Feel Good Course
As a golfer who struggles at times to play bogey golf, this course offers me the opportunity to shoot under 90.
I’m over 65 and don’t hit the ball as far as I once did. This is a short course that can make you feel good about your game.
I highly recommend this course to those who struggle from time-to-time.
Today I feel good, I shot an 85 and you can too!
It is in great shape now !!!!!!!!!
I have played this course many times since I moved to Pasco County. We have had a ton of rain lately and I thought it would probably be "cart path" today but I was pleasantly surprised. Yes there were a few areas that I had to drive around but all in all the course is in great shape. I can tell that they are putting in the effort to take care of it. I think it is the best now that it has been for quite a while. The course is not super tough but a very nice layout. I highly recommend playing !!!!!!!
Fun Challenging Course
Not very long but fun and challenging. Great staff! Would go back again.
Always a pleasure
This course is a surprise jewel in Pasco county. Try it, short from the blues, better from the tips, but lots of fun either way. Greens 8 out 10, fairways 9 out of 10 tee boxes 8 out of 10. Try it you will like it.
Meadow Oaks is always a fun course to play....greens are fast and not too undulating...fairways are cut close, but if you hit a stray shot, be prepared to loose the occasional ball.....
Meadow Oaks is always in fine condition.....and drains very well after a shower.....It is truly a "hidden gem" in the Hudson area....always room for improvement...looking forward to returning there again soon....
Always very well maintained
Never disappointed here. Nice layout with different holes and some elevation changes as well. Greens always roll true.
One of the driest courses around when many others in the area are soggy. Pace has always been good and the staff is great.
We love this hometown favorite course! The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant is priced very reasonably and it's good! Meadow Oaks is one of my favorite places to play in this area!
We started our round at 8am and finished at 11:34 am. We played a foursome with no one in front of us.Most of the morning we never saw another golfer at the hole behind us, however we did get a glimpse of a foursome 2 holes behind us. Around the 13th hole we had the ranger approach us and said we needed to pickup our pace, at that point we were on target for a 3 and a half hour round, he informed us that there were many people behind us.Then on the 15th hole the golf course manager came over and told us the same. This was very disturbing when our pace was still 12 minutes per hole, I paid $107 for our round thru golf now and decided to quit at the 15th hole since I was so angry and playing in pain with a bad hip as well.Obviouisly there were other people behind us holding up some groups but we caught the blame because we were out front of the groups. I think the management owes us an apology and some type of compensation for ruining what could have been a good day of golf. Is 3 and a half hours too slow for a foursome on 18 holes?
We’re sorry to hear of your less-than-satisfactory experience with Meadow Oaks Golf & Country Club and hope you will accept our sincerest apologies.

Meadow Oaks Golf & Country Club
Most golf courses in this area tend to let their course go during the summer. Meadow Oaks fairways and greens are in good condition. I love their layout and tee options. Looking forward to return visit.
