Fun little course with great pace and in pretty good shape
Always enjoy this course. A couple of pretty challenging holes, and some not so hard. Overall in decent shape.
Greens had been shaved and we starting to look not as good as they were a couple of weeks ago. Still a good bargain and fun.
Great little course.
I like this course it is short but makes you use many different clubs.
New owners turning things around greens a little patchy. Fun place to play the staff is awesome.
Great little course.
This is a short course but the great thing it makes you use several different clubs. Greens are patchy but course in nice shape.
Fun layout
Fun and fast round in the afternoon. Great value, nice layout with some interesting holes. If you’re looking for manicured greens/ fairways, don’t come here. We enjoyed it despite the conditions of some of the greens
Back 9 x2 =18
Was rather upset to find out the front nine was closed after booking 18. Had to play back nine twice.. cart paths were all dirt with a ton of ruts and bumps. Tee boxes were in bad shape, 1 had. O grass. Fairways were ok but not great. Most of the greens were in decent shape. The layout of the course was pretty good. All greens had its fair share of hazards wether it be water or sand. Didn’t care for three par 3’s in a row on 9,10,11. Back nine had decent elevation changes. If you play this course I high suggest checking that all 18 are available. Played the front 9 before and enjoyed it. A little more effort on tees and fairways would make this a fun “go to” course.
Dont Go
Greens Bad/Poor - Tee boxes rough - fairways mediocre - played this course last year and thought they had gotten control of it but now its a cow pasture
Same as it ever was
I live in the villages and played this course 2 years ago when I first moved here out of curiosity. It was not good then and it's the same, not good, now. I was 15 minutes early but the other 3 in my group were much earlier so they sent them off 30 minutes early. Playing alone now, I caught them after 5 holes and they were not good golfers and slow. They acted as if they didn't notice me so I jumped 2 holes ahead and played on not seeing anyone I would be interfering with. As for the course, greens and fairways were bad, in fact, I would go so far to say they lost their greens if they ever had them, The course is the same as it ever was. and a waste of time and money.
Nice setting. Fair price.
Greens were rough, being seeded and similar to other courses this time of the year: October. Very interesting layout... about 4100 yards from white tees. Nice mix of par 3’s , 4’s and one par 5 at hole 18. Front nine has more water hazards than back nice. Nicely groomed fairways. Lots of beautiful trees with decent shade on hot days. 4 tees. 3 holes had water hazard in front of green. I enjoyed the round, a bit shorter than I am used to in the Bay Area but longer than other similarly priced courses. My relatives are local and they also enjoyed the course. Friendly staff, great setting with some beautiful old oak trees. Yes,
recommended. Ps : loved that they used red, white, and blue flagsticks for front, middle and back hole locations.
Greens are a bit spotty
Nice layout for a shorter course. The fairways were fine but the greens were thin and spotty. Nice course when you want to play in 3 hours.
Sporty and fun
A great value and the perfect place to work on your mid and short games! Friendliest cart attendant ever... warm greeting and plenty of tips for a first timer at this course. Two of us played in just over 3 hours. Affordable Senior golf and a great lunch menu, also affordable after the round. We’ll certainly come back.
horrible conditions!
Greens were terrible, fairways were bad, and even tee boxes were not even mowed! Luckily I didn't pay a lot, or even normal price, or I would not be happy! Needs lots of work, before I ever consider going back.
Always better than working
Got out early before it got hot. Nice morning course was in good shape, got behind a 4 some who let me play through. Everyone has always been very pleasant here.
Great par 3 course
Everything went as good as could be.everyone moved isn’t along. All workers stop when you got near them. They were always keeping the course looking good for our game. I call it a par 3 course but they have some challenging par 4’ & 5’s out there too.
We played this course three days in a row. Pins were set in the same position each day. With all the traffic this course sees, due to it's proximity to The Villages, this leads to a lot of imperfections around the cups.
Course is OK if you go in with low enough expectations. Fairways are very thin, tight lies everywhere. Rough is no better, just more weeds. Greens are a mix of green and brown, almost impossible to putt.
I wouldn't pay more than $16/round to play here, but it's OK for that price, for us.
So what about 5,6,7 on the front nine, they’re all par 3’s too!
