Good practice course
Course a little rough this time of year. Greens just fair. Played 18 in just 2 hrs.
Poor conditions
The tee boxes and fairways are in poor conditions. The greens are in the worst shape I have seen on this course. The fairways were always a bit rough but the redeeming factor were the greens. This is no longer true. Unfortunately not even worth the 15 bucks to play.
Interesting and Fun
This course is certainly not for everyone, but my partner and I have played several time and always enjoy -- particularly for the price.
The course is fairly short -- about half way between an Executive and a Championship. It is far from pristine condition -- fairways are rough, but greens are mostly good. We use our self-created "weed rule" in the fairways -- lift and place on something green, usually a weed.
The good news is that the layout is quite interesting with many challenging holes -- always fun and requiring well planned and well placed shots. You will play better the second time after you learn some of the tricks of the course.
We will continue to play from time to time for a fun, inexpensive experience.
Good to practice recovery shots
I will not dog these guys out as they are probably doing the best with what they have. Perhaps I am spoiled but this, to me, is a place to practice hitting shots with bad lies, and recovery shots because most of your lies will be bad and the ground is like what I am hitting a recovery shot off of at most courses. The greens are a small step up from the fairways but that is a very small step. The staff was as nice as anywhere I have been.
This course is very enjoyable
Four of us played this course. Two are intermediate and two are beginners. The course gave each of the levels a challenge but yet it was very enjoyable to play. We try to find courses that the intermediate players can still have a challenge but yet have the beginners not get discourage. The par three holes were great for the beginners and the par fours and five gave the intermediate players a challenge. Great course.
Nice for iron play.
The course was in pretty good shape, only a few mile from my home. It's a pretty good course to work on your irons, shirt game..
Might be OK for beginners and slow golfers
Course was in poor shape with very little grass in the fairways and greens were inconsistent as far as speed.
Hidden Gem
A hidden gem worth finding! Challenging course and very helpful staff. We will be back!
Not a good day
This course is in POOR condition. There are no fairways, just short , very short, brown weeds and dust. As it was cut so close, there was noting to stop the ball from running into the hazards. We had to wait at least 10 minutes on each hole, even when we had trouble on the preceding hole and took longer to complete. There were no facilities to grab something to drink or snacks. Plus, when we finished at 3:45 ( tee time 12:33) the pro shop was locked and no access to rest rooms.
Little Abner
Dogpatch! Impatient foursome behind my wife and I hit into us twice. Course was backed up for 5 holes and no Ranger. Never going back.
Nice little course
Fun course for a quick round. Price is right. Can get a bit slow if you hit the wrong time.
Great course to work on your game.
Short but layout has several challenging holes. Greens were fair. Fairways are not in very good shape.
Good Executive Practice
Greens were slow and often tricky to read
Par 63
A fairly decent layout to practice your par 3 tee shots, par 4 are good and the last hole is a fair par 5.
The greens could of been better but i am from New England maybe they are suppose to be that way down here... In time i will know all the different greens in this area...
Course close to Villages great value !
For the money a fantastic deal ! Needs manicured and cleaned up a little ! But great course to sharpen up irons !
$5 got deal
For $5 in July, worth the money. Fun layout for exec course. No one in front of us and played in 2 hours. Will play again.
played for 5 bucks
greens were in terrible shape, hadn't been mowed for several days. Sand traps had not been maintained in a while, they were like sand moguls, totally uneven, weeds everywhere on course. Haven't played this course in over a year and won't be going back. It wasn't even worth 5 bucks
