The Club at Eaglebrooke
About
Eaglebrooke, located in Lakeland -- halfway between Orlando and Tampa, is considered one of the premier golf courses in Florida. Its classic links-style design with over 100 feet of elevation change is unique in this part of the state. Natural lakes, abundant with wildlife, can come into play on eleven of the holes creating both spectacular scenery and challenging golf shots. To increase the challenge, there are six sets of tees on each hole. The "seniors" tees were customed designed for the course by architect Ron Garl. Garl requested Senior Golf Magazine to survey seniors for optimal playing preferences and then included these requests in the course design. The atmosphere is first class and the course features bag pick-up at your car. Eaglebrooke was the first course in the US to use Greg Norman's GN 1 grass, the fastest growing and greenest grass available.

Excellent greens. Little dry in spots but that is expected with no rain. Definitely play it again. Oh, and the restaurant food was great as well.
All good, but not great
We were a deuce stuck between 2 groups and we felt rushed on every shot.
4.5 Stars
Teed off at 0750. I am an avid golfer. Very nice course here and will be back to redeem my 3 putts. Greens are very challenging. Only complaint I had is the bunkers were pretty crap everywhere. Unfortunately ended up in a few more than I planned. Price is steep but most of Florida is. Great track here I do recommend for lower handicap players.
Incredible value in afternoon tee times
One of the best public courses I've played in the Tampa area. It was fairly windy which increased the already difficult course even more challenging. The greens were a tad slow but in perfect condition otherwise. All fairways were perfect. Roughs we fluffy and how roughs should be. My only complain is there isn't enough shade on the course. Very few trees to park under by tee boxes and greens. So it gets really hot. The back 9 is amazing. The last stretch of 6 holes are incredible, doesn't even feel like you're in Florida. Highly recommended. I would pay $150 for a morning weekend tee time and say it's worth it. The course is miles better than TPC Tampa which is charging absurd prices. Only paid $45 for an afternoon weekday tee time.
Everything was in tip top condition. Greens are a little faster than most courses around but are consistent. Try and stay below the hole lol
Hidden Gem
Best course in Lakeland that I’ve played. Extremely friendly and accommodating staff. Pristine conditions and a very fun layout. Highly recommend.
Good Layout, decent shape
I had high expectations after visiting here last year and loving it. The course was no where near as green as it was last year, nor in as good a condition. The greens were very challenging and run fast & true. The tee boxes were ok, and the fairways were just ok.
The pro shop staff were friendly, and the morning bartender was very friendly. After the round, however, the wait staff wouldn't even acknowledge we were there. Got no service. They were pretty rude.
They are charging like a top notch course, but aren't quite there. When you can play Southern Dunes for the same price, there is no comparison.
Beautiful course!
Enjoyed my round with another couple playing course for 1st time. A few drought patches did not affect play. Greens were in excellent shape.
Best course in the area
Eaglebrooke remains in the top of courses I’ve played and the best in the area. Always in great condition and a outstanding layout. When you get it for under $50 it’s an tremendous value.
