A8 green. They didn’t even mentioned they had punched the greens, much less this atrocity. Photo submitted by MichaelOBRIGHT on 06/11/2019

Great municipal type course
Weather was rainy and windy, but the course held up good. Little disappointed in the slowness of greens but that could have been from the rain.
Cleveland Heights
Great course for the price! Great layout with nice challenges for all golfing types. Will play again.
Thanks so much for the kind words about Cleveland Heights. Our goal is for folks of all skill levels to enjoy the game, be affordable and be in the best condition we can. Please come back and see us! Brock Witmyer (General Manager)
Fun family golf
Played with my son and Grandaughter. Good conditions good weather. Had a great time!
Whoa!
When we looked the course up and saw it was a city run public course expectations were not high my thoughts were that I would be playing a course that would be "ok" but nothing spectacular- I was wrong- upon arriving I was immediately stunned at how beautiful and well taken care of this course really is. I hit some balls before my round and got paired with two gentleman and had an awesome round. Greens were lightning and fairways and tee boxes were in wonderful shape. Only drawback I could see is I felt like the course could use some more length- Par 5s are two shots to the green for anyone with a straight ball but other than that I would recomend this course to everyone- for the money you just cannot beat it. Period.
Course was in great shape
The course was in great shape after reseeding , greens were fast and pace of play was great .
Best it's been
They have shaped up this 27 hole course just in time for the snow birds.this city owned course has trimmed the trees , put in a new pitching green , and regreened 1/3 of the course (c-course).most of there bunkers have quality sand. This course is a good deal for the money ,and I have no problem saying it's my hometown course.
Fairways wet even when sunny.
Staff not friendly. Restaurant was closed. Carts were good condition. Some fairways didnt have drainage so were wet even when no rain for days. Greens were ok except some had no lack of maintenance.
Nice place
Best city course I think I've ever played. Not the most challenging but it was fun.
FRIDAY OUTING
ON ARRIVING THE STAFF WAS NICE. THE CLUBHOUSE WAS PRETTY. THEY HAVE THREE COURSES A,B,C. C COURSE IS UNDER REPAIR . A AND B WERE IN GOOD SHAPE . THE GREEN WAS NOT VERY GOOD SPARCE GRASS HOLES PUNCHED IN THEM, VERY BUMPY.
ood they are working on it. glad
the course was just fine . I know that they are working on it to improve it . so great
For the $$, best in Lkld
I play here all the time. It is the best public course in our area for the money. Staff is great, course is in good shape and has a great layout. I would play here once a week if possible. Pace of play is always good and I am an impatient golfer. Played in a tourney there for George Jenkins recently and had a great time. You can't find a better 18 holes of golf for $20 (after 2 I think) in Lakeland.
Good Morning to Play
New greens were in poor shape on some holes but overall the course was in ok shape. Had a good time as pace of play was excellent at less than 4 hours for threesome.
Nice place with nice people
Need some work on greens. But for the money it's the best deal in town Nice people work there too
The Heights
I've played this course often over the last 12-15 years. I've always been treated very well by the staff and the course is usually in good shape. The course has undergone a renovation over the last few years and the improvements have been very positive. The greens however are in terrible shape. I've not putted on greens this bad in years. I would have expected much better. I know why the fees were cheap and there were few people playing on a perfect Sunday afternoon.
some crud
Overall the course was in good shape. They have three nine hole courses there and one had the greens being redone so wasn't playable. The two we played, had about six greens with crud on them but overall the course was in good shape.
Bullying by league players
I was forced to leave after three holes into my second nine holes. A group of five players bullied me then teed their balls up behind me. I wasn't playing slow and the pace was actually good for how busy it was. The staff was not surprised and gave me a rain check. However, it just did not seem like it was enough. The four guys ganged up on me, questioned me and then tee d up behind me as I was getting ready to drive the ball. Staff was sympathetic, but it was an awful experience.
Don't reccomend!!
The course was in awful shape!! Especially the greens worst I have ever played !!! Will never at here again!!! Needs major work done to the course!!!
Disappointing
A community course that experiences a lot of use. Some fairways are really nice, but the tees and greens are a mess. The City of Lakeland has beautiful recreational facilities, but someone needs to call 911 on this place.
The food area is under new management and was delicious on 2 separate days. Go for lunch or snack and you'll be happy.
Thanks so much for playing Cleveland Heights and the feedback. As you stated, the rain slowed the speed down a bit. We look forward to you playing here again and stop by my office to say hello. Brock Witmyer (General Manager)
