Pace of play
Not to nit pick, but our 4 some was behind two 2 somes, I realize that both 2 somes
Live on property, and apparently did not want to play together, but on weekends in prime time, they need to be hooked up as a 4 some..it was incredibly slow and not enjoyable. Other than that, there were no issues...

Course Needs a Lot of Help
The golf course is a great layout in a nice community, but needs lots on top of lots of course maintenance and love. Lots of unmown, or not recently mowed areas. Also, several already dead fairway patches and dead green patches all thru the course. I know it hasn't rained lately, but has anyone heard of a sprinkler system? Its the heart of the season here in Florida and this course looks like its been thru a war. Other courses in the area have had the same conditions and are in tons better shape than Schalamar Creek. The grass for the greens has never looked worse, they have never taken from its revamp a few years ago and need to be scrapped and started over with new turf and seed. This course could be a gem of the community if somebody put time, love, and moreover money for upkeep into the maintenance of the course. Bad look for the rest of 2023 and not sure I will be back anytime soon. Get it together Schalamar Creek!

A very nice course
This was second time playing at Schalamar Creek. The course has some difficult or tight areas on some of the holes but that can fun or frustrating depending on your level of play. The course seems to be in pretty good condition. The odd part to me is the driving range where you drive the balls out into the water. But still a nice place to play.

Value for money
All courses in area in need of rain conditions not great but golf now hot deal made it a good value

Course condition
Played this course while on vacation. The course is challenging and enjoyable to play. It is in a seniors community and you should consider this as your round will likely play slow....nobody is in a hurry here! The staff in the pro shop are very welcoming and pleasant to deal with. Some of the fairways are very dry and hard to play off of and most of the tee boxes need repair. While some fairways are dry, others are wet because of poor drainage. Enjoyed the island green and overall it was fun to play with fair green fees.

Very enjoyable round of golf, course was busy but things moved along well. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Course is in very good shape. Definitely recommend this course.

Requires accuracy
This is a course well worth the money. It requires accuracy as the fairways are tree lined.

Be prepared!
I'm a 15 handicap and usually score in the high 80's playing within the rules...well this place was very challenging as it is narrow and water everywhere...I took 10, that's right 10, penalty strokes due to water which was self inflicted....you need to use more irons and play target golf for sue...greens were great and fairways decent considering time of year....drove 50 minutes from Orlando but well worth it for great price...out twosome played in 3:20 as it was wide open....very friendly staff and great starter...scored badly but that was my fault....the course is well worth the drive and price...will be back and use more irons.....
