Friendly staff. Neglected course
Tee boxes we overgrown. Cart path was overly bumpy in places. Course layout is super tight and at times confusing. Staff was friendly and informative. Scenery was nice.
Not worth the rate, even in summer
Saw that the course had fairly rough reviews which were a bit older and saw newer reviews that showed guests had a better experience. Course is very challenging which is welcomed, however the maintenance of the rough areas made it nearly impossible to find any ball that was not directly in the middle of the fairway(talking about half a foot from the edge of the fairway). Greens rolled ok but could definitely use more upkeep, bunkers were essentially cement and very dense. For the rate which I paid, $40 is not worth the headache that came with playing this course.
Good rate
I mean for the rate I got for myself and my golf partner off GolfNow, and the course being very quiet on a hot Sunday, it was definitely worth the price. Plus I have played this course myself many many times over the years and I really like this course. I had thought it would be in better condition especially the greens as a few months ago I saw a post on this course’s FB page stating it was under new ownership and recently renovated but I don’t see much difference than before it was sold. Kinda curious about that
Love the Layout
Under new ownership and showing positive signs of course conditions. Still needs additional TLC but is coming along nicely. One of mine and my wife's favorite courses as it is not long, yet very challenging.
Beautiful Course With No Wait
My first time playing it was fun to be forced to plan your shots. We teed off at noon and had the course with no one in front of us and were never pushed. Great time!
Used to be nice
Maintenance has definitely taken a backseat here. Greens are unkempt and full of dead grass and weeds. Fairways have very uneven grass.
Course completely floods in and after rainstorms and has really poor drainage. Rather pay more and play somewhere better.
Palm Cove
On its way to being a great course again. The greens were better than I've seen in quite awhile. Glad to see them putting in the effort again. If you like tight fairways, this is your place.
Fun challenge
As a beginner it was nice to play a course that was challenging but fun. Also a different experience then I’ve had before compared to some other courses.
For $39 not terrible
I used to play here all the time 4-5 years ago it was in great shape then. Stayed away due to the recent reviews the past few months. Saw rates dropped so went out as a single 7am. For $39 it really wasn’t terrible, but greens are very very slow few areas overgrown. Most of the traps had puddles. I’ll be back sparingly under $40.
AWFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I AM THE GM AND I SLURP EVERY SUPERVISOR TO MAINTAIN MY POSITION BUT I GOT FIRED ):
Bring an extra dozen…
Conditions not as bad as other reviews state, it’s not like it’s trump National or something. Yea some sand on the greens but nothing that ruins a game. Played back nine first thing in the morning so nobody was ahead or behind us. We did get caught up to at the end as we were a slow four some. Not worth your time if you’re a beginner or not accurate off the tee box. Extremely narrow with water or marsh on both sides most of the time. Psychologically difficult as many holes you have to hit over water or marsh to even get to the fairways. Each member of my group lost at least a dozen balls (Lol). If wider courses like Martin downs or the saints were open we would have played there. Beginners beware.
The Staff was very friendly and helpful
It seems to me that the winter took a toll on the course fairways and greens were in bad shape
Badly in need of TLC
We played here a month ago and the course seemed a bit worn and need of some work both on the greens and fairways at that time. It appears that nothing was done and the course is in the worst shape I've ever seen it. I go all the way back to when it was Cutters Sound and now as Palm Cove. It has always been one of my favorite courses and it's a shame to see it in it's present state. We will return, but not soon and hopefully by then it will be in much better condition.
Greens need work
Overall love playing here. Course and staff usually much better. Greens in terrible shape. Course is rough...like no one is doing any maintenance. Sad.
Hope palm cove gets back to being a great course
