Palm Cove Golf and Yacht Club

My history with this course goes back to when I was a member and the course was Cutter's Sound and then after the total redo I was a member for a short time of the now Palm Cove. I mention this tenure as with either tract, the course was always kept in great condition especially the greens. That can't be said of the greens the day we played them, as there were too many greens that showed sign of disease and in need of repair. As to the off-course amenities, we finished our round at +/- 4:15 PM on a Wednesday and the grill and the bar were already closed, so there are no amenities to comment on. All in all, a disappointment for what used to be a great golf experience.

Very tight and a short layout. A few longer par 5s on the back 9 are welcomed and nicely laid out. The staff friendliness and warm welcome was really cool. Pace of play for a narrow course was perfect, our foursome played in 3 1/2 hours. Needless to say my wife loved the course! : )

Layout is a real challenge. I’ve played it a dozen times in the last two months and have never been disappointed. Great layout. Friendly staff and great playing conditions. Course management is key. Will continue to play here in future.

This is a very narrow course made more difficult with overgrown conditions and terrible greens. Many courses will plug greenes that are this diseased or damaged. Many of the greens had up to approx 20% sand with no grass roots/structure underneath the sand. Makes me wonder if this course is about to go bankrupt and the owners are just milking what they can while the can.

The greens are in bad condition some greens have 50% of the green is trying to be repaired. Fairways and tees are in pretty good shape. Golf course staff is very nice and friendly. The little restaurant is reasonable and the staff is excellent. Hope that their greens recover and the course is a very fun course to play

The course is challenging, some of the holes are narrow and require strategic placement of the ball for enjoyment of the course. Strongly recommend.
