About
The South Course at BlackHorse is known for the sand quarry that was ingeniously worked into the layout by the design team. Particularly on the back side, the wetlands and sand features come into play prominently and create a totally unique setting for golf.
Getting there : Take Hwy. 290 west to the Spring Cypress exit. Go south (left) under Hwy. 290 to Old Hempstead Hwy. Turn right and drive .5 mile. Turn left on House & Hahl Rd. Then left on Mound Rd. and right on Fry Rd. The entrance is on the right.

Fun, lots of variety.
Checkin people great. Notified us that it was cart path only after paying. Good course but at least 5 holes over 400 yards from the forward tees.
Excellent Conditions
Fairways and Greens in excellent conditions. Enjoy hole 17th!
Tough course
Great course. Excellent conditions. Need to be hitting driver straight as many older trees line the fairways.
Second time playing the South Course
The amenities at BlackHorse are excellent. The clubhouse is not only clean and appealing, but also contains a great selection of apparel. While the course itself is kind of an odd layout, it is extremely well-kept. The greens roll true and fast.

Blackhorse - South Review
Great round at the Blackhorse Golf Club - South Course. It was in a great shape and greens were rolling true. Staff were welcoming and accommodating to all guests, ensuring that the COVID-19 protocols were in place and duly followed by everyone. Good value for money. Will be back and hopefully will play better next time around
There was a five some in front of a lot of groups that really slowed the pace. Why were 5 allowed?
Black horse Golf Club
Black horse is a great facility that never fails to challenge my game. They have really embraced the new normal and are doing a great job.
The South Course has a great layout
I haven't played the South course in a couple of years, but given the green fees you would expect the course to be in great condition and that was not the case today. I'm aware of COVD-19, but the greens were sprayed green, they rolled true but were very slow. The fairways were thin and there are several bare spots in and around the fairways and course. Highly disappointed with the experience.
Great Course
It was my first time playing out there and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The conditions were good but the greens were very very slow. My only complaint is that on hole 4, they removed the tee markers and placed them as a par 3 but there was no one who told us or any signage indicating the change.
