Madison Green Country Club
About
With over 200 courses in Palm Beach County, architect John Sandford knew he would have to create something special to get attention. At Madison Green Country Club he did just that, creating a unique course that combines many of the best features from local courses, with a few surprises all its own.
Over a thousand palm trees line the course as do over 100 bunkers and 42 acres of shimmering lakes.
One very interesting aspect of the design is that not only does the course get longer as you move back in tees, but the shot angles also get increasingly challenging. This means that the good player not only has further to hit but must also place the ball more accurately on the fairway in order to set himself up for his next shot.
A young teen, his father, his mother and even his grandfather playing together from four different sets of tees will all experience a fair challenge for their respective games that still remains enjoyable!

Golfer Reviews
Terrible conditions – do not play
I played this course last year and it was in reasonable shape. Played it again in July, and was shocked by the conditions. They do not appear to have done any maintenance to the course, other than the greens. The fairways hardly have any grass. The tee boxes are mostly dirt. If you hit a ball into the fairway, you likely will not have any grass under your ball. I don't know why they have allowed the course to deteriorate. Until they make an effort to maintain the course in reasonable shape, I would strongly advise not playing here. I had a hot deal, but it was not worth it.
Terrible fairways
It's a beautiful course and amazing layout. The condition of the grass between the tees and greens was terrible. It only cost $58 to play. Even at that price its not worth the money. The people working there were very helpful and friendly. If the course was maintained better it would be awesome. The layout was fun and challenging.
Course is in need of a lot of TLC
We played here based on favorable reviews and the availability of deals in the morning. We are only here for a week and we’re looking for the nice courses. The conditions here were the worst I’ve ever played on GOLFNOW. The staff is friendly but other than the greens you wouldn’t know it was a golf course.
Interesting course to try out
It’s a good course with interesting layout and impeccable services, but the fairway conditions need to be better maintained. Good greens.
Greatly disappointed….
I’m going to start off with the positives. The course layout was quite challenging but fair. The greens and the collars were fairly decent. Now for the negatives. In terms of the driving range, if you wanna call it that, you’re hitting off of mats, into the water and the golf balls that they give you are those no-compression floaters. The golf carts are probably 25–30 years old, and do not come with any type of GPS. The majority of the fairways resembled cow pasture. Many of the courses that I typically play, have a restroom on each 9 and then they typically have one available to use when making the turn to play the inward 9. Outside of the bathroom inside of the proshop, this course only had one restroom available on the course and it just so happened to have been locked. Surprisingly enough, they did have a cart-girl, and she was actually quite nice. As I write this review, my biggest disappointment comes from wondering how on earth did this course received a 4-star rating in this app?!?!
Greens and fairways were a little unkept but aside from that a very fun course
Starter screwed us….
So was spelled out that pace of play was four hours and 20 minutes based on the yardage book supplied to me.
Front 9 was played in 2:10, when we got to 10 tee there were THREE groups on the box, a foursome and then 2 separate twosomes (no idea why they were made to pair up)…..it took us almost 1 hour from finishing 9 to finish hole 12.
At that point things got a little better and we finished the back in 2:19.
Greens were very good. Fairways have been completely lost due to the drought down here, so many holes can’t tell where fairways start and end.
Pulling up to 10 tee to see that backlog was enough to sour me on this course. But maybe some friends would enjoy the greens….however hitting fairways with my drives and being on dirt with no decent grass around was not my idea of a top notch golf course (which I had heard it used to be).
No fairway grass
I played this course a couple times it was great now I don’t know. What happened terrible fairways no grass left no way worth the price
Not what it once was
This was once one of my favorite courses to play in the area but in the last year or so it’s declined quite a bit. Fairways are filled with weeds, grass is dead all over, almost all tee boxes are in terrible shape and there are times that I was hitting from what might as well have been a fairway bunker lie in the dead center of the fairway. Greens are still in great shape and roll very true but that’s close to the only thing this place has going for it these days in terms of course conditions. Price is adjusted as such for Hot deals as we only paid $29 for our tee time. Likely won’t be back this summer simply because I don’t see how, in the dead heat of summer, they could catch up and get the fairways growing back to where they used to be and ought to be for such a fun course with so much potential.
High rates for summer quality
Greens are ok but the course needs help as all fairways are in desperate help.
Course is in terrible shape
I’ve played this course many times. Whilst it has seen better days, the layout is challenging and the greens were always decent. When we turned up on a hot day, we discovered the fairways dry, with many bare spots. The course looked like no one had watered or mowed the fairways for weeks. The greens were still reasonable but slow. Sad to see the course in such poor condition. I’d give it a miss until its future (possible redevelopment?) is decided. Call ahead and check conditions.
Garbage
The fairway isn’t a fairway. The tee boxes are sand. There’s weed and sand everywhere. Greens were good though. Would 0/10 recommend playing this course. They would have to pay me to play here again. Very very sad because this course used to be a gem. Now? Wouldn’t send me worst enemy here to golf.
