With over 200 courses in Palm Beach County, architect John Sandford knew he would have to create something special to get attention. At Madison Green Country Club he did just that, creating a unique course that combines many of the best features from local courses, with a few surprises all its own.

Over a thousand palm trees line the course as do over 100 bunkers and 42 acres of shimmering lakes.

One very interesting aspect of the design is that not only does the course get longer as you move back in tees, but the shot angles also get increasingly challenging. This means that the good player not only has further to hit but must also place the ball more accurately on the fairway in order to set himself up for his next shot.

A young teen, his father, his mother and even his grandfather playing together from four different sets of tees will all experience a fair challenge for their respective games that still remains enjoyable!

Challenging layout….. but

I’m a mid single figure handicapper. What I most like about this course is the variety of shots you play. It’s longish, it’s tight on a lot of hole too.. You need to be a good ball striker to score well here. The fairways are very hard as opposed to tight lies and the perimeters around the greens are also dead pan. Mostly , no room for error on your iron shots, little grass under the ball. That aside, it has good variety and the prices is great. The greens are well maintained, fast and fair, to me that’s important.

I love this course! I play it every year I come to Florida. It’s tight, there’s trouble everywhere unless you can hit straight every shot. Added to the fun is the tricky greens, nice track!

Terrific Course

I haven’t played this course in over a year and now I’m kicking myself for not coming sooner. Ranger keeps up the pace of play. There’s some water on half the holes but that just makes you try and hit your target area. Since I’m 72 I did play the Gold tee’s and that’s where I should be playing. Played with a buddy and two strangers and we all enjoyed the round together. All in all even though there’s a 40 minutes drive I will be going back.

Nice track

Plenty of challenges and risk rewards. Playing in 20 mph winds added more than a few yards of difficulty.

Layout requires a lot of target shots and positions for approach. Slope of 145 but the greens were not extremely fast - consistent though. Slower pace 4.75 hrs expected with the difficulty level. Great value for your $ March in S Florida

Course not 100%, but very tough

The layout of the course is superb and difficult. It was in decent but could have been better condition. Target golf made difficult by forced carries, some narrow fairways and the winds. Greens very good.
