The Quarry Golf Club
About
Located just minutes from downtown Canton, The Quarry Golf Club was built on the site of an old quarry that dates back to the 1800s. The location provides a dramatic landscape featuring cliffs that stretch over 100 feet, meandering streams, and deep-water lakes. The golf course utilizes the natural diverse features of the terrain, which lends each hole a unique character. Despite being an old quarry, there are many mature trees that line the fairways. Rocky outcroppings and native grasses border the gently undulating greens and water also comes into play frequently. It's a golf course that demands accuracy and you may find that you need to use all the clubs in your bag. The tee shots can seem intimidating initially but the landing areas are more generous than they appear.

beautiful and tough
great layout. dramatic holes. very tough golf course. but beautiful. make sure you get a goods night sleep before you try to tackle it. i didn't and it showed in my score. very friendly staff. make sure you hit the free range, chipping area and putting green first. a great bargain as far as the price is concerned. they could charge $100 or more and get it.
Hard course
It was cart paths only and the pace was extremely slow. You must keep the ball in play to score here.
The Quarry is beautiful and challenging.
This course is definitely a challenge if you don't hit fairly straight and long. Every hole presents a new adventure with elevation changes, water, trees, and wastelands. However, the fairways are wide enough to hit or recover from any errant shots. The hot deal we reserved thru Golf Now was a great value, regular price at the course is pricy for the area. We will definitely be back for the challenge.
The Quarry is a beautiful and challenging layout
This is a course that requires an understanding of the layout or a very low handicap in order to shoot in the seventies or lower. The rough is thick and difficult to hit out of and the greens are fast and sloped. errant tee shots usually result in a loss ball!

beautiful course but very challenging. wll definately play again.
Great challenging course
This course has got to be one of if not my favorite course in the Canton/Akron area. Green condition was not great but other than that I look for this course first when booking with the golf app.
One of the best public courses I have ever played.
Breathtaking views and a real fun course to play. What a surprise. I can't wait to go back and play it again.
Different and challenging
Played The Quarry on Aug. 28. About an 1-1/2 drive from home but well worth the drive. The staff, from the person who took are money to the starter, were extremely helpful and friendly. I enjoyed the course because it was different than any other course I've played. It had everything. Water, sand , and trees were abundant. Some holes were hidden so it was hard to pick the right club off the tee. The GPS system on the carts was the best I've ever seen. The carts would shut down if you went where your not suppose to be. All you had to do was back up and you were fine. This course is a definite play. Better than any I've played in eastern Ohio and western Pa.
Practice balls, bottled water, and a great course all for $35.00.
Worth the ride
For those of you looking for those hidden gems of golf, take a ride out to Canton (about 10-15 min from Pro Football Hall of Fame) and enjoy the layout The Quarry provides. With tees built for every handicap, the course is fair, challenging and beautiful just don't every expect to have a completely flat lie.
A must play...
Always heard about this course and finally came across a deal on Golfnow. I was definitely impressed all around. Course was in great shape and the staff was very helpful. I play Fowlers Mill, Boulder Creek, etc. This course ranks right up there. Def a must play for the avid golfer.
Best course around
One of the best courses I have played in a long time, loved the hole layouts and the views. Would recommend this course to everyone.
Spectacular views
This course is a one hour drive for me but I would walk to it if that were the only way for me to get to it. The elevation changes combined with the rock formations make playing here a pleasure. Clubhouse is awesome with good food and friendly employees. Greens in very good condition but it took me a few holes to accept the fact that they were a little slower than they appeared. Always enjoy eating on the patio when finished and watching groups hit into the scenic 18th hole. Don't miss this course.
Great course, rude old man in the pro shop
The course was in excellent shape. Fun to play but very hard.
Great course for the price.
Beautiful scenery with lots of elevation changes. Green rolled true, but we're a little beat up on front nine. Our tee time was at 7:30 and we teed off almost 20 minutes late because groups in front of us were late. Had to wait on every shot and didn't play in under 5 hours. But, employees were friendly and the price was great.
Great course, great price
If you haven't played this course, you should do so ASAP. I got on for 35 bucks and it was a total steal. Would not recommend this course for hackers/beginners. Bring a lot of balls, otherwise.
Great Day on a Beautiful Course
Played as a single but got paired with a great family which made the day even better. The course is beautiful and challenging but fair. You need to think about your shots and not always think you need a driver. It took me awhile to figure that out. When they tell you it is target golf that is exactly how you need to think about it. Greens don't give you many straight in puts or at least not on this day but they roll very true. There are many blind shots so the Cart GPS is a big help..
nice treat
so nice to play a high end course once in a while.a true test for every club in your bag.
Nice design. Great greens.
You must play this course! The design is awsome. It takes all the shots and good drives to be good here. You have to love the deep rough. Very nice views. Don't get upset if you don't shoot well, they didn't design it so you could master it. The opinion is to play it and if someone tell you not too, ignore them and take the challenge.
Awesome Views!
Played the Quarry Golf Club yesterday this is a gem of a course in the middle of nowhere.
I rate this course as one of the most beautiful and challenging design golf courses I ever played and I played the West course of Firestone the previous week!
Staff was friendly and the course conditions were perfect. The chicken salad sandwich was fresh at the turn.
Would I play this course again, yes in a heart beat. One suggestion is to place a sign to the course at the intersection of 44 South and Old Orchard, so you don't miss the turn, like I did (twice)
