Royal St. Cloud Golf Links is well known for being some of the best links-style golf in Orlando. It is home to three unique nines that all closely follow the traditions of classic Scottish links golf. A round of golf at Royal St. Cloud will make you feel as though you’ve been to the British Isles and back. The Red/White golf course has been improved to make it more player-friendly overall, but the classic links challenges are still there. The course features sod and wood-faced bunkers and there are very few trees on the course. Like on any links course, be prepared to use every club in your bag. Royal St. Cloud Golf Links is also home to a lighted driving range and short game area with practice bunkers for golfers to work on their short game.

Very crowded

Very nice course but on weekends they pack the course. They start tee times at 6:40 despite daylight savings change and first golfers can’t tee off until 7:15. Our 8:27 tee time was about 30 minutes late and we teed off after 3 5-soles. They play pretty fast but we still waited a lot. Would think twice about booking on weekends

There were no orange (ladies tees) on either the red or white course and the on course washrooms were disgusting….one on the white course didn’t even have a sink. Didn’t look like they’d been cleaned for a week

Excellent Links Style Course

I have played four affordable courses in Florida in the last 10 days. This was the best of the bunch. A great variety of holes that are very challenging. One short par 3 in particular proves that a short hole can be difficult. If you put the 125 yd shot on the green you still have to try to keep the putt on the green. Greens are quick but puttable once you understand that they break less than you think. Great course to play if you have been struggling with your driver. Since the course is wide open you can swing away instead of getting tied up in target golf.

The only downside was the weather, 55 degrees 20 mph winds. 2 clubs more or 2 clubs less all day. Hope to play there again before I head North

Fun links course but is it “worth the wait”?

Fun Links style course tucked away in the Saint Cloud countryside. Conditions are always above average and it contains 27 holes that gives you plenty of options.

The big drawback of this course is the pace of play. I’ve played here a handful of times now and have never played it under 4 hours and 45 min…

But if you have the time, the rates here still are still well worth the course itself!

Excellent Course for the money

Best course for the value in the area. It’s better than some of the expensive course in the Orlando area. It’s a definite play every time I come to Florida.

Slow - Slow - Slow

It's time to start actually paying someone to do run your golf course. The idea of just having a bunch of volunteers who get free golf for 4 hours of work has run its course (no pun intended). After playing 9 holes in 3 hours, I said something to the starter, and he told me to go play somewhere else. You're clearly overbooking, and you're going to lose your loyal paying customers.

The staff that you pay are great, but your volunteers are rude and don't actually do anything. Do better.

Pretty decent value. Very well maintained

It's beginning of tourist season, so don't expect anything resembling decent pace of play.

Come here if you are OK with a 5 hour round of golf. I don't mind since I'm on vacation.

The course is pretty and the layout and hazards are challenging. The maintenance does an excellent job here, especially with their judicious use of irrigation and good drainage. The grounds crew was constantly going through and cleaning up bunkers and divots. Amazing a course with this volume of golfers looks so good.

I'll be back.

Terrible pace of play trumps everything

We played Red and white nines. After waiting on every shot on the Red nine which took 2 hours and 50 minutes (not a misprint) we waited 15 minutes to tee off on the white nine. When I called the pro shop to ask if they had a ranger and why the pace of play was so slow I was told a ranger would be out. We never saw a ranger! If your idea of a great day of golf is a 5 hour+ round then you should play here. After our round I went into the pro shop and asked if it is always this slow. The counter person said it was and didn’t make any apologies. I can’t imagine ever coming back.

Horribly Slow play

Let me say I appreciate the course keeping its fees in check, however, they seem to overbook which creates long playing times and a lack of available carts. We played in the late afternoon and it took 3 hours to play nine holes. We were so frustrated with the slow play we decided to quit after nine. I’d personally rather pay more to enjoy the round. We won’t be returning any time soon.
