About
The 18-hole North Shore Golf Club in Orlando, Florida is a semi-private golf course that opened in 2001. The course slides around lakes and wetlands, and then detours through a grove of large ancient oak trees before re-emerging into the clear at the finish. It has two distinct nines converging to form one remarkable 18-hole layout. Begin your round on the Modern nine, winding through native wetlands and Florida's natural topography. The Classic nine is carved through a grove of 100-year old oak trees, creating an enjoyably unique setting for your finishing holes. North Shore Golf Club is located less than 10 minutes from Orlando International Airport and offers a complete practice facility and world-class instruction.

#13 fairway, long and wide. Ignore the brown grass in the foreground - the fairways are lush enough to hit fairway woods on the par 5s with ease. Photo submitted by Buckleahy on 02/23/2013

Golfer Reviews
Great valee
Have played here several times over the past 5 years and I've always enjoyed the course This summer due to extremely hot weather and heavy rain conditions deteriorated somewhat
Some reviews I have read are excessively critical but my experience was just fine yes the greens have bare spots mostly around the edges and yes there is some weeds in the fairways so what? Unless you are a scratch golfer it should not matter at all I will play here again in the near future in spite of the naysayers
Couldn't ask for a better pace of play as well
Rapid Decline
Shocking to see the course in this condition. Played here a few times earlier in the year and everything was great. That has changed significantly. So much is wrong. Tee boxes are a mess, the fairways are full of crabgrass (FULL) and most of the greens have some sort of fungus that has chewed them up. It's unplayable in many places.
Until I hear from someone that "it's back", this is unfortunately on the do not play list for the foreseeable future.
Very nice course
Greens were plagued with areas of concern - not a lawn dr but suspect fungus or other similar issues. I will return because I appreciated the staff’s friendliness; unlike some other course that make you feel as though you are a bother OR unwelcome. Enjoyed the cart with its GPS and other amenities. Highly recommend.
Been better
Course isnt in the best of conditions. Tee boxes not trimmed and have shrubs. Shrubs on the greens. Fairways spotty. My biggest complaint might be the black seats on the carts. Whichever side was in the sun while we were putting, they got their buns toasted upon returning. Price is always too high for the course.
North Shore Golf
The greens were in very bad shape. Fairways pretty much same as the ruff
The only minor issue is the GPS will stop the cart on several fairways. I’m a local and play North Shore weekly. It’s a challenging course. The pace of play is good too. Staff is friendly and helpful.
Not for beginners
Form someone with disability limitations that plays from the beginner tees, the course seemed really long even from the white tees… didn’t play my best but I will accept the challenge to try to beat my score the next time I end up going.
Wet, very wet
The course is super wet with all the rain we've had. The water retention areas (3, 7-9, 10, especially) are high. You'll have a lot of plugged balls. The crew is working on the course every time I'm out there. Pro shop staff is great.
Disappointed
First this is a great facility. It's a shame that it's been somewhat let go. Ive played here alot of times in the past. Ive never had poor conditions. The course is playable but alot of the greens are in ruff shape. The price is out of line but a hot deal and a promo is good for now but full price should be out of the question.
Poor Conditons
Turf is in really poor conditions on 75-85% of the course. Fairways and tee boxes were burned out all over and hard to find good turf. There were areas that you weren’t playing from in the fairways that were actually in descent shape but very very rarely where you would play your ball from your tee shot. I don’t know if the recent rains and heat have severely damaged much of the areas but conditions were not good at all. The greens had descent turf for the most part but were really bumpy. I would give this another opportunity when turf conditions are favorable because the layout was actually descent.
