beat up
beat up. The best way to describe this course. When it was $19.99 to do a round of golf, you generally accepted it. But They charged $59. And his course isn't worth $60. It's barely worth the $20. Save your money and go to Falcon's Fire or Ramington if you're in the area until they clean this place up.
Also, under no circumstances use the bathroom before the 6th hole. It was *flowing* with butt mud all over the walls, the toilet, and the floor. *disgusting*
Greens patchy with small clumps of new grass. Fairways dry but not terrible. Layout nice.
Challenging course but greens are terrible.
We played the course last year and enjoyed it, but this year the greens were awful. The greens are badly diseased with crab grass which really spoilt our game. Putting was impossible so we picked up on most greens.
Tee-box condition was also very poor.
On the positive side, pace of play was good and the staff were friendly.
Sadly won’t be returning to play again.
Oaks
Ownership has made noticeable improvements to this course. Still a little work to do. Hope they can improve the sand quality. Some of the huge Oak trees could be cut back a little to help the average golfer. The greens rolled nice but they had a little something going on with some irregularities in grass.
Low price for a reason.
We played at peak season in Florida. Prices are high everywhere. Looking to save some money we tried Oaks National. Got a $55 rate online and booked it.
The pro shop and lounge seem brand new and look beautiful. The staff in the pro shop and snack shop are extremely nice. The course was a different story. The weather in Florida has been challenging and it really shows on this course. The fairways are super thin. Lots of bare spots. The layout is difficult, not knowing the course. Many blind tee shots. On a few holes we had trouble knowing where to aim because we had never played there and had trouble seeing the fairway. But all this aside, it was the greens that made it really bad. They are covered with some kind of weedy patches. Every green has them. Balls bounce and change direction as you put over them. I probably would not recommend this course at this time. If the news gets out that fairways fill in and they fix the greens I’d give it another shot. Right now (Feb 2026) I’d probably not play here.
Course good for beginner
Too much poa-annua on greens - pace of play terrible
Don’t waste your money
Don’t waste your money with this course, got told in the clubhouse to leave by another golfer before checking in, should’ve listened to him. Pace of play is awful and in terrible shape. Left after 13 holes, would not recommend.
Oaks
Anyone that has played this course over a year or two, can definitely see some improvements in the overall course. The greens rolled nice but had a little something going on. The tee boxes are looking good and the frog hair is looking even better. The traps were raked nicely but still need a little upgrade with the sand.
Fun but rough
Nice layout but not in the best condition. Greens were in rough shape with weeds and fairways were wet and it hadn’t rained. The back nine was in better shape. Inexpensive and could be a nice course with some work.
My review
Ban conditions on winter. Grass yellow and muddy, greens with weed, bunkers full of water and stones
Awful Shape
We played this course and I gotta say… it’s in bad shape. Grass is all dead, greens are diseased with a super high concentration of crab grass. Almost impossible to putt accurately on and tee boxes were beat up. I had about 5 shots that I know were in play that I couldn’t find due to overgrown rough and it being dead and white/yellow. Staff was friendly, layout was fine but conditions were not good by any means.
