Royal St. Cloud Golf Links - Blue/Red Course

Reservation was for White/Blue 9’s but on site was amended by course marshals to Blue/Red; front 9 desperately slow but made up on back 9 as very quiet/free run; overall time around 4.15 for fourball.
Always good facilities at 19 hole, Stonehouse Tavern.

Course was in excellent shape, people there are very friendly, highly recommend.

Excellent value, course conditions have always been perfect, fun layout, and it is playable for the less-skilled golfers in my group. It has been crowded and slow on the weekend, but wide open and very fast on weekdays. Don't count on a beverage cart or drinking water on the course. Bring your own or buy everything you need at the clubhouse.

First time playing here. I will definitely be back. Great value. There’s three nine hole courses. So the starter will kind of assign you to which ones you start at etc. I signed up for the “White” and “Blue”. They assigned me to the “Red” and “White”. I don’t know the difference between them so I can’t say I was missing out or got a break. I can say this, I started off on Red. I was extremely impressed with the course conditions. Best I’ve played on in a while. Pace of play was atrocious. Waiting 10 minutes almost every shot. It’s worth it though. For the price. It’s kind of like this. You can have two of three things on every course. Price, quality, and time. This is the great price and great quality course. But you suffer on time. Took almost six hours to finish 18. If you want great conditions and great pace/time? You’re going to pay the price. What can you do? Nothing. Just enjoy what it is. I guess my only gripe was the back nine/White. Pace again was worse than the front/Red, and the greens were fine? But they had been topdtessed pretty vigorously. Just wish I had been told that. Didn’t really effect the putts it was just really annoying to happen upon it and not have it communicated. Yes. I’ll be back. It’s truly a gem of a course. Just be prepared to be wowed by the conditions and let down by the pace.

Played at 1:30 on a Friday. So I didn’t expect it to play quickly. Course got us out earlier than tee time. Shotgun had gone out in the morning. Several 5 somes and generally slow play. Eventually gave up after 12 holes.
Course was in good shape and some interesting holes. Blue nine (what we saw of it) was more interesting than red.
Used golf now because course website wasn’t working and pro shop did not pick up phone (two calls - one message went unreturned)
Was still interesting for a non Floridian and good price point.

This has always been one of our favorite courses to play on vacation. Staff is friendly, course conditions good and plenty of food and beverage options before, during or after the round. Pace of play was a little slow but fun round overall.
