Meadows/Oaks Golf Course at Pennbrooke Fairways
About
Pennbrooke Fairways in Leesburg is located less than an hour from Orlando. It offers two nine-hole executive golf courses as well as a regulation nine. The two executive courses are called the Meadows and the Oaks. Each of the nines has a unique character but what they do have in common are large, manicured greens and lush, undulating fairways. The Meadows opens with its signature hole, a par 4 that is only 213 yards. Despite the short length, it's still a tricky hole with an ancient, moss-draped oak square in the middle of the fairway. You'll have to be ambitious and try to shoot over it or strategize a low shot to go around it. Pennbrooke Fairways' Oaks Course is seemingly benign but the tight fairways will test the accuracy of even seasoned golfers. Errant shots will be met with out-of-bounds on either side of eight of the fairways.

Fun!
Course was fun and in excellent shape! Staff excellent!
Very Friendly Staff and the course is well kept.
1st time and we will be back. The course was very wet from 11 days of rain, but we were happy to get out, see some sunshine. We liked the layout and are looking forward to return when it is not so wet. The staff was great and welcomed us, and assisted us the course layout and locations.
Good round.
Course is in good shape, good grass on the fairways, greens putt true and in good shape.
bad greens
the par 3 course had house very close, and 2 of the greens where really bad (missing a lot of grass).
Low price
The rate was low the course was good on one nine but several greens in poor condition on our second nine. The pace of play was slow.
BYOW. Bring Your Own Water. Only one water fountain on the 18 I played.
Nice little track.
Fun little course to play. Some of the greens could use new sod (lots of bare spots). Ball sets up nice on a lot of the fairways for 2nd shots. Small greens require throwing darts at the pins.
Fun courses
One of two executive courses (pars of 30 and 32) combine with a tough regulation 9 (par 35) for a fun and interesting 18 holes. The executive courses have a great variety of par 3s (long, short, uphill, downhill) with several potentially driveable par 4s (220 to 300 yards) that give you practice with all your clubs before you head out on a tougher 3000-yard (+) back nine (the first par 4 is a stout one, and so are the two par 5s, which are a bit longer than average). Fairways and greens are in good shape, and so are the carts. The modest clubhouse is well kept and has a great bell tower that rings out the hours and a carillon that follows up with a lovely tune. The man who runs the pro-shop on the weekends is a delight to deal with. My wife and I have really enjoyed our golf here, and feel that the hour-long drive to get to the course is well worth it.
Is this a par 72 with yards over 6000?
